5.0 out of 5 stars. Great little helmet.Reviewed by Twin Dad from Charlotte on Thursday, March 19, 2015I've got twin 3-year-olds and they have HUGE heads (21.5" circumference). The "ages 8 and up" helmets they had were woefully small; the medium Giros arrived today and they're PERFECT. They don't have the "ratchet adjustment" thing that's really popular with helmets these days, but I found that the adjustable pad system actually anchors the helmet more securely on their heads. They also don't have the complicated "sliding lock" adjusters for the straps .... but I found that the simple buckle system works better.
Bottom line: This is a basic helmet, and it works well. And any parent who has tried to adjust a helmet on a wiggly child knows: The faster you can adjust the helmet, the better. And since a well-adjusted helmet is a safe helmet, that's important. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy helmetReviewed by NW Urban Farmer from Bellingham on Thursday, May 15, 2014This helmet fits great (at least on my head). But the white does amplify your head size. I also didn't realize the pattern encircled the whole helmet (instead of just being the three visible in the picture).

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very cute helmet in fun colorsVerified Buyer Reviewed by MnMomma from Minnesota on Wednesday, May 7, 2014I have a head shaped like a shoe box, so even though the circumference fit on the M, I had to send it back to get the L. This is probably true for all/most helmets, but this is the first one I have purchased online and was unable to try on first.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great basic helmetVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Charlotte NC on Wednesday, April 23, 2014This is my "go-to" helmet for riding around town, shorter, commuter type of rides. A bit too hot for a long road ride (50 miles or so)

4.0 out of 5 stars. Just the job!Verified Buyer Reviewed by The Laird from Colorado on Thursday, April 17, 2014Great price and lightning delivery (we're just down the road in CO).
I've been slow to acquire head protection. Regular road biking helmets are far too over-the-top, self-consciously stylish for my needs. Apart from not wishing to look like something from Alien about to arm wrestle Sigourney Weaver, I don't have the obligatory Spandex gear that seems to be an obligatory accessory, even if you're only going to the grocery store. And helmet prices! Don't get me started! A quick recce of the local branch of the backwoods frou-frou latte equipment supplier left me gasping for air.
This helmet from Giro is just fine for my needs. It's solidly constructed, fits well, and inspires confidence. Plus, if your head is anywhere near the size ordered, you can customize the fit with the enclosed sets of thick an thin foam pads. As someone pointed out, this is the type of noggin enclosure long advocated by Consumer Reports.
Might get hot in the Colorado summer, but who cares? This helmet and a worn T-shirt could get me mistaken for a rock climber.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Couldn't ask for much more from a helmetReviewed by Anonymous from Brooklyn on Thursday, March 6, 2014The Giro Section is a great fit for my (large) head. I put it on with no pad adjustments and it immediately feels like an extension of the head it is protecting. I had one of these for a few years before tossing it because of some nicks and scratches, and sometimes I'd get home and forget to take it off. That comfortable.
Unbeatable for the price.
