Both are thick, soft, and beautiful, and were a great buy at STPs discounted price. We liked them enough to go back and buy a second 5'3x8. We shopped locally for rugs, and nothing compared for quality even at twice the STP cost.

Tight weave and pattern seem to be the right choice for this area. The larger rug is the same pattern but contrasting/not repeated in a way that make for two different rugs to be side by side as the same colors are used throughout just in a subtly different way. It is a front entry room, we have dogs, live out in the country but in a dry climate, so finding something elegant yet durable is a challenge. This seems to be the solution. I LOVE these rugs.
