I don't wear heels regularly, so was relieved that I didn't feel wobbly in these wedges, even though the base/footprint is narrow. I am on the smallest hole on the ankle strap and still had room 1st time wearing them, but it was fine. I guess I have smallish ankles. The overall quality is great (made in Spain like all the other high end espadrilles this season). If you have an especially sensitive ball of foot, you may not find the rope foot bed comfortable. I am picky for comfort and found these to be just fine. I was more concerned about not tripping in heels, since I'm a sneakers and flats gal. Felt cute and current in these (which I don't feel very often).
