5.0 out of 5 stars. power poleReviewed by OutsideGuy from MA on Wednesday, August 19, 2015This rod casts extremely well if one stays at or near the 2 oz limit. Loads great and easy to cast far and accurately. Reasonably well made and a great value at the deal flyer price. I may purchase a second one. I am using it w a 4000 series Penn reel which makes a great light weight rig.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Lamiglas spinning rodVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Apex, NC on Wednesday, January 14, 2015The rod arrived on time and in good condition. It is very nice looking. The flex is what I would expect for a medium flex rod. I haven' t used it yet, so I can't comment on performance or durability. I look forward to using it this spring.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good Rod Bad BoxVerified Buyer Reviewed by OutsideGuy from MA on Tuesday, January 6, 2015I received my 9` Lamiglass Surf rod in a flimsy box that was creased in several areas. I opened the box with trepidation fearing a broken rod. There were a couple of creases in the dense foam part of the handle that are likely permament and I suspect caused during shipping in the flimsy container. I have ordered mant items from STP and generally have found the packaging to be very adequate. The rod was otherwise in good shape and appears to be very satisfactory for the price point. I don`t want to return it for fear of receiving a broken rod. I won`t get a chance to use it before this spring however I don`t anticipate any problemsfunctionally from my inspection. It`s just that when one orders a new item one expects it to arrive unblemished. I have ordered other rods from STP that were shipped in durable cardboard tubes. I suggest the same packaging for the Lamiglass Surf rods!!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Casts smooth and far...Reviewed by Anonymous from CA on Monday, March 10, 2014For now I am using a Pflueger Arbor reel with this rod for surf fishing in SoCal, will be jumping up to a bigger reel soon. With the Arbor I am easily throwing 1oz swimbaits and lures 75+ yards.
