5.0 out of 5 stars. DurableReviewed by Kim Perrotta from Florida on Friday, December 4, 2015I have not used it yet- but I stuff the heck out of it w/ almost all my gear. On its own it is lightweight but still maintains a form. Pockets galore! I love pockets. I have lots of tiny objects (zippo, Chapstick, etc) & the double fanny pack is great for those items. Lots of space & cords for hanging objects. So far & keep in mind- most of my gear is ultralight to lightweight, but I've managed to stuff the following and still have room & still lightweight.
-tightly packed 2p tent & large pad & sleeping bag
-a 2nd pad stuffed on exterior
-2 micro lanterns, LED flash-lantern, 3 ppb books, urinal, 3 double duty bags, 3 emergency Mylar blankets, pocket knife, collapsible water jug, solar shower & down pillow.
It also has a very nice waterproof bag in a hand-sized stuff pack. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great packVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Louisiana on Wednesday, November 18, 2015I love this pack. Just got back from doing 4 days on the AT in Virginia and the pack worked great. Very comfortable and light. I didn't miss having a lot of extra pockets and such.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great pack so far...Reviewed by 7day Hiker from SoCal on Tuesday, June 24, 2014I bought this pack in an effort to lighten my load. I had an old Gregory Forester which weighs almost 5 lbs, it was a great pack, it still is, but it is time for me to jump in the light to "ultralight" backpacking bandwagon. The Boreas Lost Coast 60 may not be ultralight but it is light enough (not stupid light), I have used it on a couple of backpacking trips and I have to say I am extremely happy with the way it handles my load (20 to 23 lbs including food and water). It is very comfortable, not just because of the reduced weight but because of the way the pack was designed, the load of my gear, food and water were properly handled by the Boreas. I also like that the internal frame is removable if you want to go ultralight, I have yet to try loading without the internal frame just to see how the pack performs. Overall, the Boreas Lost Coast 60 is a very functional pack, lightweight, comfortable, great ventilation on the back, it has sufficient storage, "minimalist" design, well constructed, materials seems durable and tough. I have no doubt this pack will serve me well on my planned JMT hike next year.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome PackVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ohio on Tuesday, April 8, 2014I wanted a pack without all of the straps and loops hanging off everywhere, something simpler than others that fit me well and was also lightweight. That is exactly what this pack is and then some. Despite its simple look, it actually has quite a lot of storage pocket space. The compression straps are great too and keep everything really close to your back so it doesn't wobble (assuming it's loaded well). I tried it out on a couple of day hikes last weekend and it performed great, love the frame design too. It was comfortable loaded down on my day hikes, but I'm still curious to test it on a longer hike. I feel like I got a really good deal on here too, which makes it that much sweeter.
