These are so large that a good sized portion still looks very small. Not a good bowl to use if one is watching their food consumption. These are nice bowls and will work better for me as a serving bowl or for a large leafy salad. These are also cupboard hogs.

I'd previously bought a set of this brand's bowls from here which were 9.75" and I wanted another six. The others were not nearly this deep... I should've read the specs. However, it was a happy mistake because now I have six serving bowls at the ready. What a bargain! I absolutely love this brand's opal glass.

Or filled with Easter eggs or goodies. Beautifully made and a good deal if you are looking for a nice "everything" bowl that works with anything. And still good for pasta, salad and soup if you've got someone with a really large appetite to feed!

They are definitely large but nothing freakish about their size. Way too big for soup but only slightly large for pasta or a large salad. Very well worth the price and would buy again.

Like big enough to make the salad in, not eat it. A reasonable serving of soup or stew would be pretty lost in here. I'm going to keep them because the return shipping would be painful, but they're not going to work with the plates they way I hoped they would. Also, STP is selling Opal glass plates and Moon porcelain glass plates. THEY DO NOT MATCH, says the voice of experience. STP is not selling dessert plates in this style at the moment.
