It's summer, so I can't really address warmth... but this jacket is very soft and cozy! Bought the XL (5'11, 170 lbs), and the sizing is perfect.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Marmot Flair Fleece Jacket

Purchased this Marmot piece and am pleased with the quality and chenille fleece. Ordered the gray which tends toward blue gray but nice. I wear a medium, 8-10, and ordered same. Fits well in length of sleeves and torso. Slim cut through hip area. A size up would be too roomy in the body of the garment. Have not worn it as yet but hope it performs as nicely as it looks.

I've had this fleece in burgundy for 5+ years and wanted another color, so I happy to have found it here at such a great price compared to other retailers. It's the warmest and fuzziest fleece I have, I really love it. True to size. 5"4', 120 lb - got a Small.

This jacket was so soft when I put it on I wanted to stay in it!!! It's a standard length medium, which sometimes fits around my butt/upper thighs, and sometimes doesn't. Those of you w/hourglass shapes will understand this. If it were a petite size it would have had the necessary room at the correct part of the body. Petite women w/curves cannot fit into a standard length jacket w/o having the waist hit your body at the upper hip area. I did not want to return this jacket, but had to.

Well made, very snuggly fabric. The blue (called violet mist but looks more sky blue) is very beautiful. Close fitting at hips. A bit warmer than what I would call a lightweight jacket.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
