5.0 out of 5 stars. Outdoor research ferrosi skirt

I'm in between sizes, so with a fitted skirt I decided to order the higher size. It was large on me and I was afraid it would fall off, so I ordered the smaller size and it fit perfectly. I'll be keeping the larger size just in case I have one of those bloated days and need more room, that's how much I liked the skirt. Both skirts though have a sticky, hard to pull up or down, zipper. Hopefully this won't turn into a problem down the road. The website pic of the skirt is misleading in that it shows the bottom back of the skirt longer than the front. That's not how the skirt fits, the bottom hem is even all around it's the waistline that is graduated. The front of the skirt sits about two inches below the belly button, hip hugger style, and the back of the skirt sits around your natural waistline. This surprisingly, is a very comfortable fit. Nothing constrictive around your belly, but if you bend over you don't get plumbers disease, amazing! The fabric has washed well and is stretchy for ease of movement. Can't have too many pockets.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Really versatile skirt!

This skirt is perfect for all weather and very good quality! The fit is perfect and the zip off feature is such a great idea, we live on a lake and having a skirt that I can zip off to go in the water and then zip on while I am out makes for a very durable and modest swim skirt as well as hiking skirt and everyday skirt. I am 5'4" and 128 lbs and the size 4 fits me perfectly! I would purchase more of these wonderful skirts and wish they came in more colors! The price is very good for such a high quality skirt!

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
