I've owned many jacket for skiing , and they are completely waterproof, snow proof. You can be in a blizzard, and they hold up. The Med has ample room for puffy layers too.
Colors are bright, highly visible in a storm and do not seem to fade in sun. -

NOT Relaxed FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by stones2cut from seattle on Friday, October 6, 2017We have 4 Arc'teryx jackets in our house ranging from 1 to 10 years of age.We love them, but I don't know what they were thinking in calling this jacket "relaxed" I have a ten year old Alpha SV equivalent (used to be called something else) that fits fine with a thick fleece and I could barely zip this thing up with just jeans on.
If they're going for just skinny people vs normal people (5'10" 165# doing 1000 feet up/down in 90-min), super - go for it and get someone else's business. -

I am 5'10" and petite so length is usually an issue. I bought this jacket in a Medium, and for the style I think it is still a tad short in the back, but definitely longer than others I've tried and I know it will function just fine. More importantly, the arms are long enough! My lanky-as self can never find jackets where my wrists aren't showing at the slightest lift of my arms, but this one has me covered. -

Superb quality, slightly narrow hipVerified Buyer Reviewed by lisamamot from West of Boston, MA on Tuesday, April 8, 2014I ordered this in a medium, Blue Python; I am 5'8 1/2", 135-140 pounds, size 8 (39" hip), and that puts me directly in the medium size according to their size charts. Arc'Teryx truly makes a faultless jacket in terms of quality, construction, and technical features, and this jacket does not disappoint in those categories; the color is stunning too. Gore-Tex material rustles a bit, but that is the nature of the beast if you want waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection. My only fault is on cut through the hip with this jacket. The Sentinel is the Relaxed Fit jacket for Arc'Teryx meaning it should be very comfy and verge on baggy; it is a check in that department everywhere but the hip where it is ever so slightly snug on me. I purchased this to ski in and expected it to fit well over ski pants and give me room to really move. Because I am tallish the jacket hits me on the widest part of my hip, so perhaps that is my issue. This would fit perfectly on someone tall and a size 6, or perhaps someone my size but a couple inches shorter. I have ordered the large in hopes that it will be a bit longer and just a wee bit wider. If it is a big size jump sadly this jacket will not work for me.
