5.0 out of 5 stars. Gorgeous Sweater!

Wow, is this a beautiful sweater! Beautifully made, and I jumped at the chance to get it for less than a third of retail with a coupon. I got the black and sized up one size, and it fits well. The area around the neck is fleece lined, so no scratching. Be aware, however, that this is NOT merino according to Dale of Norway's website. It is 100% virgin wool and a bit scratchy, but a t-shirt will take care of that. This is the kind of sweater that will look good for decades--true investment dressing.

I own 4 or 5 Dale of Norway sweaters, in both merino and wool, and I find that I very much prefer the merino. The wool is just not as soft and is very scratchy. Despite what Sierra Trading Post says, according to the Dale of Norway label and the handfeel of the sweater, it is wool and not merino. Consequently, I had to send it back, and STP is going to charge me for return shipping, do not make the same mistake as me! Otherwise, a double layered sweater, very solid, very nice, if rather scratchy.
