4.0 out of 5 stars. Initial impressionsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Big Island, Hawaii on Tuesday, June 9, 2015Cannot attest to the ride-ability of this product as it is summer. I can say that I have saved a ton of money by purchasing in the off season.
The board arrived in in just over a week. The board itself is the perfect color combo even though I had to take what they sent. (I would have been fine with anything because of the fantastic price). Seemed quite stiff as it is rated in the stiffer side and I threw a coat of hot wax even though it seemed to have been factory waxed. Noticed a different look to the base after my waxing so even if factory waxed, I still would put a coat on anyways.
The top deck surprised me by only being stained wood with a light coat of poly or some other kind of wood sealer/finish. I am reluctant to leave it as is because it doesn't seem like enough sealer was applied and it could use a couple more coats. I won't bother with the top deck until after a season and my thoughts are confirmed or proven wrong.
The other thing that I was pleasantly surprised about was the board being really light weight. Can't wait to get it out in the snow to see how it handles!
