5.0 out of 5 stars. Jack Wolfskin always deliversVerified Buyer Reviewed by pitufo1955 from Minnesota on Thursday, August 20, 2015Hard to give a complete rating for this, as it arrived during the hottest week of the summer. I tried it on, it fits great, looks good. Got the thumbs up from the husband. I look forward to October, when I can used it for what it is designed for. I have several Wolfskin items, most from trips to Germany. So glad I found out that Sierra Trading is now selling their merchandise. Looks good, well-made. Love their clothing!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality-fits largeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Keen mama from Pacific Northwest on Wednesday, May 27, 2015This vest is fantastic, but very utilitarian. I would definitely wear it on the boat in Alaska. I would probably not wear it around town (except maybe in Alaska). Although I tried it on during Spring, it was very warm and comfortable. I'm 5'6," 138 lb, and a 37" chest. The medium was way too big unless layering, which I don't think you'd need with this much down. Navy blue was pretty plain.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy well madeVerified Buyer Reviewed by lucyg from Ny on Thursday, February 26, 2015This is an extremely well made vest. The detail really shows the person who designed it has actually spent time in the cold. Very warm too

4.0 out of 5 stars. Expect to get a lot of wear out of this one...Reviewed by wilson59604 from SC on Thursday, February 5, 2015Maybe it's my monitor, but the siltstone color is a lot darker (see photo below) in reality than depicted here. Which is ok with me, since I"ll be wearing it hiking and camping. Overall, like the construction and looks. With a fleece I expect to stay toasty.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice vest but poor fitReviewed by Grad Student on a Budget from Cambridge, UK on Monday, February 2, 2015It's a shame that such a nice vest has such a poor fit. Much like the Jack Wolfskin sweater fleece jacket that I also bought, this vest is too short and boxy for my body type. For reference, I am an hourglassy smallish-medium size: broad-shouldered, 5'5", 34C bust, 27" waist, and 38.5"hips. I bought a small (in the navy color) and a medium (in the taupe color). Here is my take on this:
PROS: This vest feels to me very well constructed. It appears to have a generous amount of down in it, and feels like it would keep me pretty warm. The colors in person are attractive neutrals. I like the gentle elastic at the armholes - it gave a snug fit and didn't let wind in. I also liked that the shoulders seemed broad enough.
CONS: The fit of this was awful for my body type. First of all, it was far too short. It fell somewhere between the top of my jeans and where the pocket openings are, and it would have showed my midriff if I raised my arms. I'm 5'5", and have a slightly longer than normal torso, but nothing out of the ordinary. Second of all, this vest looked like a men's vest: straight lines with no shape at all. My shape is very hourglassy, but you definitely couldn't tell with this vest on. I'm fine with down vests being somewhat shapeless, but this one was pretty extreme. Also, the bust was uncomfortably tight in the small, although the small seemed to fit best all over besides the bust (and the length). The medium fit better in the bust, but had a lot of room in the waist, and some in the hips. Most of the other vests I ordered from STP fit me better (Lowe Alpine, Rab, Marmot, Mountain Hardwear). This would fit someone shorter, with a small bust, who either has a more boxy/boyish body or perhaps someone who is a bit more pear-shaped than I am.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Vest for my daughterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Olympia, WA on Wednesday, December 31, 2014My daughter was thrilled with this vest for her Christmas gift. It was high quality, good price, great fitting and a welcome change to all her peers wearing The North Face brand. The Jack Wolfskin brand has not made its mark here in the Pacific Northwest yet, but I think Jack has the Face beat big time! I'm watching your site for a good buy on a Jack coat.
