I'm 6'1 / 195 lbs and the XL is a good fit. Based on this size, I think the L would have been tight especially if I planned to layer. This weekend I wore this jacket to my son's 8:00 am soccer game (32 degree temp) and I was very warm (this is with 1 shirt underneath). My only complaint is the hood. It's unusually small for a down jacket. Not a huge issue since I'll wear a hat. But I like the hoods on these jackets a little bigger to cover my entire head (and then a little extra).

It works out really good because I work as a news photographer and work in the field mostly all day and I can move around easily. It is very durable and fits great, sometimes the faux fur can swoop sown by your eyes and it ca be annoying but other than that I think it was a great purchase.

I have not worn it yet, so I cant comment on the warmth. It looks great nice quality. My zipper was broke, but I was able to repair it myself. For price I paid, it was worth the fix. Jacket runs a little small did not feel like a 2XL
