5.0 out of 5 stars. great pants for a variety of usesReviewed by Anonymous from OREGON on Friday, April 10, 2015I picked these pants up and have been wearing them for the last couple of days and really like the fit and material. They are somewhat of a slim fit so people who have thighs like tree trunks will want to look for something else because these wont fit. the pants are nylon and have 2 hand pockets which are deep, not shallow like many of MH pants and shorts. 2 back pockets without any velcro or flaps and one zippered "security" pocket down the side on the right. These pants also don't have a gusseted crouch so you have to be careful when kneeling down with these on. Personally I like the ability to wear these in a casual, out to dinner way or wear on the trail, since they are pretty lightweight. These would be great travel pants and look much better than the zip off leg travel pants that you see some people wear. Some reviews say the pants are noisy when walking but they arent that loud...very solid buy IMO.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great light, durable, quick-drying pantsReviewed by Rhino from Oregon on Friday, April 10, 2015These are exactly what you'd expect from a pair of nylon travel/hiking pants from Mountain Hardwear. Excellent construction, sizing as advertised, etc.
My current favorite travel/hiking pants are the Royal Robbins Global Traveler Stretch pants, also available here on STP. These are second. In comparison, the Trastels are more water resistant, more prone to static cling (including picking up pet hair), have no stretch (not that much is needed, but this is a factor that makes the Royal Robins so very comfortable), and have fewer securable (i.e., zippered) pockets, and are just slightly noisy when moving (what you'd expect from nylon).
For the price these are still a bargain and irregardless of price are a high quality pant. I have two pairs of these and two of the RR pants and enjoy them all. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Nearly perfect...a little short, a little noisyReviewed by Anonymous from Boston on Monday, February 23, 2015The best nylon hiking/traveling pants I have found after trying 4-5 others. They are fairly narrow in the legs, which I like...similar to standard blue jeans. The waist is cut slightly large...I'm normally a 33 but the 32 fits perfectly. However, the legs are slightly shorter than standard, maybe by 1/2 inch to 1 inch. Pockets are OK...medium deep front pockets (no closure), very deep rear pockets (also no closure), and a leg pocket with a zip. Material is light but seems tough. It is soft but somewhat noisy when walking, at least when new.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by DWH from CA on Monday, February 16, 2015Great looking and fit. Will love these especially for traveling. Very light and packable. Liked best that they weren't a boot cut like many of the brands so they didn't flare out at the bottom. The length was a bit short. I usually can order a 30 length but these were too short. Reordered a 32 length and they are perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the back pockets are very deep and don't have zipper or Velcro. Not sure I would want to carry a wallet in a back pocket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. The GreatestVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from USA on Friday, February 6, 2015I have tried to find pants like this for months. These fit well, aren't too baggy, have useful pockets, and are just straight comfortable. Homerun.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, but notReviewed by Alden from Texas on Monday, February 2, 2015These are made of very nice material. But, the waist is much bigger than normal. The thighs are quite tigh considering they are travel/hiking pants.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Idaho on Wednesday, January 28, 2015Nice pants, fit me well. Material is a tiny bit stiffer than other nylon pants I have, but not annoyingly so.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable and ClassyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Tennessee on Sunday, January 25, 2015These are stylish for rip-stop pants. Run a little large in the waist I think. If in-between sizes, go down. Sturdy construction.
