5.0 out of 5 stars. NOT a shirt jacket.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Cliffdweller from Arkansas on Sunday, January 3, 2016As other reviewers have pointed out - this piece of clothing crosses the line between shirt jackets and jackets. Very well made and nicely lined this is not an indoor shirt jacket. This is a jacket for the cold outdoors. It will keep you toasty warm. Perfect fit. It is quite substantial and rugged and will likely last a very long time. I am very happy with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Moose Creek Canvas ShirtVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mule Lover from Montana on Friday, December 11, 2015Great bang around shirt for the price. Used repairing barbed wire fencing and canvas didn't snag. Ordered Xlarge to wear wool shirt under, fit a little snug across shoulders at first but loosened up a little after awhile. Got a whole lot softer after washing and drying and looks better too. Ordered two and was glad I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars. GREAT COAT!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Susan from Pacific Northwest on Monday, August 31, 2015This shirt-coat is even better than described. I ordered it for my husband and he is thrilled! The pockets are so much handier than patch pockets. It is soft, warm and roomy and a great value.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Shirt is fine but pay attention to sizeReviewed by Mendocino from Northern California on Monday, May 25, 2015How much credence do you give to STP reviewers? Please listen to this: I have ordered multiple shirts by Moose Creek, mostly chamois and/or flannel shirts. I wear a medium, and they fit great. I ordered this shirt-jacket (it really is a jacket) in medium. It looks like I'm wearing a circus tent. It's HUGE. Either these shirts are mis-sized or someone is smokin' skunk. Forewarned is forearmed. However, it is very well made and would be great for someone thirty or forty pounds heavier.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Moose Creek Canvas Shirt Jacket (men's)Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Western Washington state on Monday, April 13, 2015These are outstanding shirts for winter wear. I had purchased one from Costco last summer and liked it so much that I went back to buy additional shirts. Unfortunately they had sold out. I searched for them on the web for some time, and then I finally found them on the Sierra web site where I bought four more shirts. They are excellent for indoor warmth on cold days, and are perfect to wear under a coat for additional warmth out of doors. The deep side pockets lined with fleece are real nice. While the shirt material is canvas, it remains soft even after washing, and is comfortable to wear. I highly recommend these shirts.
The Sierra on-line ordering was easy to use, and the shipping service was prompt. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. great to use as outer layerReviewed by JR from USA on Monday, November 10, 2014I've wanted a shirt-jac for a while to use around the farm, and finally bought this one. Most of the canvas shirt jackets I found online are listed between $40 and $70, but Sierra Trading Post had this one for $38 plus a 30% off + free shipping offer, so it was a great deal at only $27. This item runs slightly large, definitely built more like a thin jacket than a heavy shirt (I was expecting the latter). I bought a medium and washed it in hot water, which helped to shrink it some, though it is still roomy enough to wear several layers underneath. The main body is lined with microfleece, though the sleeves are instead lined with that smooth, quilted nylon that you see in most jacket sleeves. The hand warmer pockets are a nice touch. They are hidden in the side seam, instead of towards the front as on a regular jacket, so your hands and arms rest further back than usual when placed in the pockets. I've had this for a week, and with 2 or 3 long sleeve layers underneath, it remained comfortable with outside temps down the 30's.
Overall, this item is comfortable and tough, worth the price, best used either by itself as a light jacket or with a couple layers underneath, but expect it to run slightly large. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Love itVerified Buyer Reviewed by Larry from Oak Harbor, WA on Wednesday, October 15, 2014Keeps me warm, quite large though. I bought another one from Costco, same size, medium, but it fit me better. Still it perfect for work
