Its weight and durability reminds me a bit of my grandfather's light which screwed atop a huge 6 volt battery and lasted forever (a Non-LED of course!).
Product appears very well made and puts off a generous amount of light.
The insertion of batteries in the bottom of the unit was a breeze so dont be put off over any comments to the contrary.
Had to settle on the orange "Halloween Pumpkin" color because I waited so long to purchase.
Will be a great camping accessory.

I do have the 30 day version, however, and absolutely love it. This particular light is highly rated and you can check it out on youtube. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this light. Fantastic price.

VERY bright light when on high and the body is very high quality as well. It does use 6 d-cell batteries which could get a little pricey if you use it constantly - but then they tell you that and even give time estimates of battery life in the description. NO buyers remorse at all.

The Streamlight has an additional single red LED for night use. For use in a watercraft the SOS is a nice feature. Personal experience; I have a few lanterns, we use them off grid at a cabin. Slightly prefer the Streamlight, because of the single red LED feature.
