5.0 out of 5 stars. Walking Stick for me
Reviewed by Anonymous from Western Oregon on Saturday, September 5, 2015
I purchased this Cane Grip Trekking Pole when my physical therapist told me I needed to adopt the use of a cane to help with proprioception (perception of where my body is in relation to my terrain and surroundings). I wasn't ready to accept an all-out cane and saw this as having less of a stigma. I know I'm not being cool about alter-abled image and all that. I'm not perfect. Turns out this offered more than a cane. It has height/length adjustment. It has shock-absorption. It has a safety strap. It's light weight. It could be packed in luggage, though I'm using mine always when out of the house. The cork handle is well-sculpted and forgiving but very firm. I recommend the rubber tips purchased separately. I've even had many compliments and inquiries from other cane users. For me it is better than a cane. I call it "Mr. Stickley"

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Just a little bit too short
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Vegas Al from Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 16, 2019
This is a nicely designed and constructed product. The only issue is that it is great as a walking cane, but slightly too short to be used as a trekking pole. I’m 5’9” and at max extension it is about 2” too short to be comfortable.

Luckily my wife is shorter than me, so she is using it.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great walking/hiking aide
Verified Buyer Reviewed by iltwob from California on Monday, July 8, 2019
This spring-loaded, adjustable hiking aide is easy to use once you figure out the tightening mechanisms. You actually have to tighten the pole sections themselves, not the rubber pieces separating them. I have bought a few adjustable poles for hiking, but this one fits in my luggage, and possibly in a carry-on if the two sections are completely separated, though I have not tried that yet. It worked well to support me while walking over very uneven lava rock just recently in Hawai’I, though the tightening mechanism did slip once, perhaps my fault.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I needed

After knee surgery I need to walk with a cane. My elbow hurt until I got my Komperdell Walker Cane. I highly recommend. I purchased the tips and it works great on all surfaces at work.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. If only...

I expect I would be writing a thoroughly positive review of the Komperdell Walker I recently purchased, however after one brief walk using it, the rubber tip came off who knows exactly where, so it's lost. I ordered extra tips which I wasn't expecting to have to do right away. Of course, until the new tips arrive I am without the use of my Komperdell!
