It sits on the stove, washes well because it has nubs that catch the drips and crumbs from cooking. I like how bright it looks on my stove top along with the pot holders I bought in the same color from Clearance! This was a necessary item as my husband is a grade A short order cook at home and I do the clean up. Couldn't be prettier or easier to use!

My range top is completely covered by grates and the spoon rest will not be stable unless it is on a solid surface.
