5.0 out of 5 stars. Favorite rain jacketReviewed by M from Midwest on Friday, October 27, 2017By far my favorite rain jacket. The fabric is much more breathable than my Paclight and other GTX shells. Pit zips are a huge plus, although they aren't huge and only use 1 way zippers. The pockets are located high and use thin material on both sides, so I wouldn't trust keys or other sharp objects in them. The hood is a good size and can be cinched down as needed to fit over a bare head. The jacket is a good length and is very light weight. Like most rain jackets, the fabric can feel a little clammy or sticky when worn over short sleeves (but not nearly as bad as some that feel like a garbage bag). I've worn this through day after day of rain and have always come away impressed. I'm hoping it won't delaminate, and if it does, I hope Marmot has something very similar to replace it with.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice lightweight, breathable shellVerified Buyer Reviewed by SS from Colorado on Wednesday, March 1, 2017This is a great lightweight shell. Very comfortable and seems to breathe well. Not sure yet about the long-term durability, but so far so good. I'm 6'1", 175, and the Medium fits well. There's enough room for an insulation layer underneath, but even with just a t-shirt, it's not too baggy. Arms are plenty long, and body length is adequate.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Wonderful productVerified Buyer Reviewed by mandy from midwest on Thursday, February 23, 2017This jacket replaced a hard-used Nike jacket of a similar style that was seeing some wear on it after a decade of use. This is my first Marmot but I'll be looking for more of their products after this one. Love the way it is constructed because so much attention went into the details - even the zipper does not rub on my chin when zipped up all of the way, the hood stays OPEN and the armpit zippers are well within reach despite me, a woman, wearing a man's jacket (I use men's wear for length). It remains lightweight and is supposed to be waterproof (appears to be) but being wintertime, I have only had it outside with layers on the milder days thus far. The fabric appears to be a superior quality that I have not seen elsewhere in store brands despite hunting high and low through before settling upon this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars. DisappointedVerified Buyer Reviewed by BB from Boston on Tuesday, February 21, 2017Ordered the correct size per the charts but it was tight on the sides of my chest. Unfortunately the next size up is not available in my preferred color. Did very much like the jacket otherwise - light weight, sizable pockets, big hood, underarm vents.

3.0 out of 5 stars. yellowroseVerified Buyer Reviewed by Yellow Rose from TX on Sunday, February 19, 2017While this jacket seemed very well made, it was definitely small. You need to order up at least 1 size. I'm an XL in every jacket in my closet but sadly had to return this as it was simply too tight.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Jacket!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Rock from Texas on Thursday, February 9, 2017This is a very nice jacket, but runs a bit small. If you want to wear a pile jacket underneath, get a larger size.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight raincoatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mary the hiker from Salt Lake City on Tuesday, December 20, 2016This jacket is lightweight, functional, and good looking. It's a steal for under $100, and I intend to get lots of use out of this. Seems to run slightly large.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good quality but fit is a little odd.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Monday, November 28, 2016I am a 44R, 220lb, 6'0" male. Stocky body type.
Purchased an XL black.
I found the material to be high quality but did not have a chance to test the waterproofness of its construction simply because it was so large. It was easily an inch too wide in shoulder, an inch too long in sleeve, and four inches around the waist (and I am not a skinny guy) yet only 2 inches extra around the chest.
I suppose it is designed for layering, so I'd have to understand better if it goes over backpacks (which the cut suggests not) or just over a mid layer and large down jacket? -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Marmot Artemis Jacket - Size M, BlackVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Shanghai on Saturday, May 7, 2016I would say this is an extremely good jacket for hiking or walking somewhere. The material of this jacket seems like a hybrid of hardshell and softshell but totally waterproof in the small rain and quite comfortable.
Regarding the colour, I bought the black ,but it is not an absolute black , a little bit navy blue under the sun, but it is does matter.
I like this jacket. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Highly BreathableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sky the biker from southern oregon on Wednesday, January 27, 2016Bought this jacket to use mountain biking, used once in light rain, kept me dry and comfortable climbing, breathes very well for a waterproof jacket.
