Took these out on voyage trip this past weekend. A very muddy and slippery 2 miles up and 2 miles down. These were wonderful! The adjustments didn't give once during the trek.Grip is very comfortable and remained that way through the hike. Would definitely recommend!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect Fit!

This is my first pair of poles, and I was not sure I would like hiking with them. However, they exceeded my expectations and will be a permanent gear item when hiking and backpacking. They are so lightweight they were virtually unnoticeable and very easy to maneuver.

I am pleased with the light weight poles. They seem to fit my hands. I am looking forward to future hiking with them this summer.

I used these poles for the first time yesterday on a hike in the Smoky Mountains. They gave me great support as I went up the mountain and even extra energy. They also gave me confidence and support crossing stream beds with slippery rocks. I did have one of the poles unlock while crossing one of the streams but the other pole kept me from losing my balance. I love the cork handles. I highly recommend this product.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice & comfortable but a bit fragile

I purchased these trekking poles to replace a pair I had been using with twist locks. I like the cork, curved handles (much more comfortable than my current plastic handles) and the external locking device on the upper part of the poles. I didn't realize when I purchased them that the lower part of the poles used the twist lock mechanism. To adjust for my height I needed to use both adjustments. (I'm 5'3" so expected not to have to adjust both parts). In attempting to adjust initially one of the poles pulled out past the recommended STOP mark, and I was unable to put it back below the line. Then a small amount of pressure on the pole broke it. STP was good enough to exchange the broken poles for a new pair of the same model, and now that I am more aware of the limitations, the poles work fine. I like the feel and lightweight. Just be careful when adjusting.

There are so many good features with these poles. They are lightweight, adjustable, and the grips are smaller so I can hold them well. I also like the cork on the handles and the fact that the poles are shock absorbing. The one problem is that one of them would not stay extended, even though I tried to tighten it as much as possible. I need to try them again and see if they'll stay. Otherwise will contact STP or Leki - because I really like the poles. And, the price, with a coupon, was great through STP.

About LEKI

The company behind LEKI ski poles was founded in 1948 by Karl Lenhart. Dissatisfied with the equipment of his day, Lenhart spent considerable time and effort engineering what would soon become some of the best ski poles in the world. In the years since, LEKI poles have evolved from fiberglass composite shafts to aluminum and carbon fiber. In 1974, LEKI trekking poles were the first on the market to feature an adjustable-length shaft and, within four years, the poles were helping climbers summit Mount Everest. Select LEKI poles now feature anti-shock and Speed Lock adjustment technology, and the product range has even expanded to include LEKI gloves specially designed for mountaineering and skiing.
