5.0 out of 5 stars. Easily some of the best pants I've ever owned.Reviewed by Bearded Parts Guy from Pa on Saturday, February 13, 2016Through the years I've worn many pants. In the 90's it was huge JNCO's and Bullhead, 00's Gap and Abercrombie, moving in to the early '10's with anything raw salvage denim. It is now 2016 and I'm a serious dad-bro with 2 kids so I'm not concerned with being as hip and cool since I no longer have to attract the ladies- so I have moved on to comfort and usability. These are the ultimate in comfort and usability. Lots of useful features, like deep pockets, large belt loops, pull-tie bottom, and lightweight material. They are great for almost everything. Seriously. I put whatever level of base layer I need underneath and they take care of the rest...perfect. I mean they aren't the answer to every climate/situation, but to me they are perfect for the days I need them. They also look cool with my current dad-bro hiking look, and if I was paying attention I would think that women are probably checking me out constantly because my butt looks sweet in them. if you see these pants out in the world, don't forget to say what's up. It might be me. PEACE OUT STP PEEPS. CATCH YA'LL ON THE FLIPPITY FLIP FLOP SIDE OF THE HAGLOFS PANTS DROP. YEAYUH. UH. RESPECK.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Haglofs Mid II Fjell Climatic size large (regular length) lion gold fit and color reviewVerified Buyer Reviewed by blacklisted by Koch-boy Walker from Lake Superior on Wednesday, October 28, 2015As I've just received these pants and it's pre xc and post bike here in northern Wisconsin, this review is only about fit and color. I am 6'2", 180# and in good athletic shape, with a measured waist of 35" and measured inseam from crotch to top of the navicular bone of 32 1/2". (Just for comparison in the fantasy land of sizing here in America, I have magically become a 33" waist over the years, sometimes even a 32".) As you might expect from most of the previous reviews, the large size, regular length Haglofs Mid II Climatic pants fit me perfectly for xc and biking, with the bottom hem just grazing the navicular, about 1 1/2" above ground.
The construction of these pants seems excellent, and the zips work flawlessly with one hand, so, FYI, I applied a 4-star rating only for lack of experience with function and durability. The lion gold color will work well for tick detection, but is a pleasant autumnal khaki, just a bit lighter than the webpage rendition. I hope this helps! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great all around pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from New Hampshire on Monday, September 28, 2015These pants fit comfortably and are the perfect weight for everyday use including outdoor activities like hiking. The knee section has just the right amount of stretch and flex for hiking or sitting without feeling tight. Pockets are angled for easy access and big enough to fit anything I need to carry.
These pants are cut somewhat athletic and does not have any bagginess. Material is durable and comfortable for sitting on rocks or the ground outside.
Incredible pants for the price! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Glad I spent the money.Reviewed by John W from Billings Montana on Friday, August 14, 2015Even with another 30% off they're still +fifty dollars. Bought a pair and some others for Africa, but wound up wearing these every day. The angled placement of the 'cargo' pockets slightly to the underside of the thigh is unique and better than standard side cargos. You don't feel the items in the cargo pockets nearly as much. Fit is the best I've ever worn - just flippin' rock-star. Thin bungee around hem is nice. Zippers work with one hand every time. Gusseted crotch eliminates the jean-squeeze. Had a fall from a boulder while saving the cameras and scraped my shin pretty good. Can't see a mark on the pants, blood washed right out. Ordered two more pair in the other colors when I got home. Had to order 'short' in black 'cause that's what was left, but it isn't short at all - if anything a tad narrower at the bottom. SIZING. I'm a 36 waist (less after losing 12 pounds in Uganda) with a cyclist's thick lower body. XL regular is perfect, and short is still a 32 length. I think anyone with a 32 inseam will be happy with a 'short' if that's all that's left. A large on me would look like I was wearing yoga pants. If you are thin in the lower body and take a 34 waist, large probably is right. Any bigger is XL territory. My favorite pants.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Great pants with a major flawReviewed by Kel from Illinois on Sunday, July 19, 2015I just came back from a week of extensive hiking in NH and ME. I used these pants in various conditions, from drenching rain to high winds and scorching 85 F. Here are some of my impressions:
1. great fit: I am usually 34/32 or 33/32 in all my pants and L fits great (maybe a bit long but they covered my hiking boots perfectly). A slightly slim fit but plenty of room for movement on the trail. The fabric is very stretchy.
2. utility oriented: Large pockets, easy to use zippers, good placement of the pockets
3. a huge flaw: the MOISTURE WICKING PROPERTIES are zero to none. I am a sweaty guy and these pants made my life miserable. Not only that they got wet from my sweat but they stayed wet even after walking on a ridge for more that 4 hours with 30 mph wind gust. This is inadmissible for a trail pant.
These pants act more like light-duty soft shell pants. They are very comfortable but if you sweat a lot, you are better-off looking somewhere else. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great great great pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by longhuntr74 from Germany on Monday, May 25, 2015These pants have a fantastic design, are an attractive color, and fit perfectly! The leg pockets are sleek and won't catch on things...and the cell phone pocket inside the right leg pocket fits my iPhone perfectly). The built in shaping allows for extra room in the seat and knees. The fabric is lightweight, durable, and stretchy. The waistband is nice and wide for comfort and has wide belt loops. The only two criticisms I have (more just a personal preference).
1. I normally carry my wallet in my left back pocket...but the only back pocket on these pants is on the right side. Feels awkward to have my wallet on that side.
2. The leg pockets zip from front to back (i.e. When zipped, the zipper pull sits at the rear of the pocket). While this, perhaps, is more aesthetically pleasing while the pocket is zipped, it is not FUNCTIONALLY the most convenient. For example...the cell phone pocket resides toward the front side of the pocket. Therefore, you have to completely unzip the pocket to access it. If the zipper were to function oppositely, you could half unzip and have immediate access...and not have to worry about stuff toward the rear of the pocket falling you if you were to squat or move while you're pocket is unzipped. Again...just my personal observations/preference...and not enough of a concern for me to take off a star. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Amazing but SmallVerified Buyer Reviewed by bah from TX on Tuesday, April 28, 2015I love the look and feel of these pants. Unfortunately it seems like the Haglofs run very true to size or just a bit under. Definitely for the thinner athletic type.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fabulous Hiking PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Cheezedawg from VA on Tuesday, April 14, 2015The product description is accurate. Love the stretch fabric, DWR finish, and zipper pockets. Drawcord cuffs double as gaiters over hiking boots and can become long shorts/capris during hot weather. Wore these pants on a 3 day backpacking trip over challenging terrain and the pants performed flawlessly. Love the fit, too. The size 37 fits spot on with my 36 waist and pant length is perfect for my 31 inch inseam.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good fitting pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Sunday, January 11, 2015Bought them for trip to Nepal and find that I like them so much I'm wearing them as part of my everyday cloths. They are comfortable and fit well and the pockets are handy. Can't speak to durability yet so only gave it a 4 star until after some wear and tear testing. I'd recommend to a friend.
