4.0 out of 5 stars. Love these knives

I really like the Puma blades. I purchased a Puma Filet knife off of STP a couple years ago for filleting fish, but have found it to be great when boning/trimming deer. That knife holds its edge extremely well, and I hope this knife lives up to that. The only thing I'm not impressed with is the handle, and how the knife is held into it. There is a large gap where the blade enters the handle which I know will catch all sorts of debris. Other than that the knife looks great and I look forward to using it this fall.

I was a little disappointed at the size of this blade. It is rather small. The construction is weak. The selling price is high for the quality.

About Puma Knife Company

Johann Wilhelm Lauterjung started forging Puma knives in 1769 just outside Solingen, a city in western Germany that has been a hub of fine German blacksmithing and knife-making for more than 1000 years. Based in Lenexa, Kansas, Puma Knife Company USA has been the North American distributor of Puma knives since 2009. After nearly two and a half centuries, Puma knife blades are still forged in Germany using only the highest-quality steel. In addition, every Puma knife blade is tested by a Rockwell hardness tester before being shipped to the manufacturer to ensure a superior product.
