5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Shirt for Any Conditions

i wore one of these for the better part of six weeks to hike 550 miles on the AT. When it was cool, I was comfortable, when it rained I got wet, but not chilled. During 80 degree days I sweated, but was not overly hot. Even after 7 days and no laundry other than a rain or creek rinse, it didn't stink! It also held up under pack straps, although I'm starting to see some wear. Just an overall great shirt!

You can't beat Icebreaker for the style and fit and quality. I've got this shirt in 3 different colors and it's one of my go to shirts from summer to winter. I'm a 39-40 chest and I have the large, not a tight fit, slightly relaxed fit (not baggy), very comfortable.

I bought a different Icebreaker shirt in M for my boyfriend, but it turned out to be too tight and ill fitting. This one was looser and fit much better. Only down side is it doesn't have the thumb holes.

This is the second of these shirts that I've gotten from STP. The first is still going strong, even after 5 weeks of heavy use while hiking the Appalachian Trail. It performed so well that when a discount coupon came in, it was the first thing I thought to get. Merino wool is amazing - 6+ days of wear in hot weather with only an occasional rain rinse and it was still very low on the stink scale.

The shirt held up well to laundry, including one accidental wash in hot water, without shrinking. I am 6' 3" and have long arms and the sleeves are a bit short, but the body length was good. The shirt had a bit of abrasion wear at the shoulders due to my backpack, but I expect that after several hundred miles. I got an XXl which fit me well. I'm guessing they run a little small.

    Overall I'm very pleased.
