Zimmerli Ultrafine Cotton Pajamas - Long Sleeve (For Men)

The fabric used in the construction of these pyjamas is superb. Tightly woven, yet very supple and Kleenex-tissue-thin, the mercerization process gives the material a silky hand; I would venture to guess that this sleepwear will outlast anything you can buy in a department store. The styling is a bit stodgy, something you might imagine an older Winston Churchill would wear to bed. The stitches per inch are average for a high-end garment and the raw edges down the center placket are overlocked (as opposed to french seamed) and tucked behind the selvages (to avoid bulkiness?!) The buttons are not genuine mother of pearl but a very durable acrylase and engraved with the "Zimmerli" name. The sizing runs a bit small so I would order the next size up. These pajamas are remnants of an older lot and not in the current Zimmerli catalogue -- but they are genuine nevertheless. All in all, they are worth the price that ST is asking with their extra __% off, but considering the amount of style and labor input required for each piece, certainly not worth the original retail price.
