5.0 out of 5 stars. good hatVerified Buyer Reviewed by LCcat from PA on Sunday, September 6, 2015I bought this for my husband - he likes this style of hat because it always keeps the sun off his neck. It fits well and he likes wearing it for hikes, etc.

3.0 out of 5 stars. one very odd hatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from seattle on Thursday, April 23, 2015Tough to decide if it is the flap in back, or the elastic jockey helmet like strap that makes it so odd. I bought it to wear in windy conditions, and for the visor. Baseball caps are very unflattering on me so I don't wear them. My hair covers the back of neck so the flap isn't needed. I may just sew some velcro on so I can hook it out of my way if I want to. Despite the odd design, I think enough of it works for me to keep it. Oh, far more greyish green blue and darker than the picture. I can see how the adjustment in the visor would be great on the water. It will work well for kayaking.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Seriously geeky, good coverageVerified Buyer Reviewed by Katherine the Avid Gardener from Silicon Valley/Bay Area CA on Wednesday, March 25, 2015Now I will be almost as dorky looking as my neighbor, who wears her similar sun hat even in January. Certainly has good coverage. I think that in person, it looks less like a regular baseball-style cap with neck shade than the photo, and more like a floppy sun hat. I couldn't stand the chin strap--made me feel like I was wearing a bike helmet. I have already cut it off. However, the strap was not uncomfortable, so this could be a great hat if you need one for wind. It certainly would stay on.
The price was decent, so I will keep it and use for my original intent--gardening, to shade my ears and back of neck better than the baseball style hats I usually wear. But it is has more brim on the sides than I wanted, and even my hubby said I looked like a dork when I tried it on. He said it was for backyard only wear (i.e., don't let anyone see me wearing it). -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfectly anchored sun hatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Lake Michigan on Monday, December 22, 2014For anyone requiring the protection of a sun hat that will remain anchored while riding the waves, this is the one! A well-designed hat with sun
protection both front and back. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great hat!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Caregiver from Pennsylvania on Monday, November 3, 2014Well designed with enough brim and drape for protection, but not so much it is a problem in a stiff wind. The extra harness with the chin strap is elastic, with enough give to keep gusts from cutting into your neck, while keeping the hat firmly in place. This is the 4th Sunday Afternoon hat I've had and they wear like iron!
