5.0 out of 5 stars. great training shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by bill from folsom on Friday, March 27, 2015i wear 11b dress shoe, size 12 stinson tarmac works for me, 11.5 the front of the toe box rubs my #2 toe left foot. tarmac is not as cushioned as the trail stinson but i think the sole will last longer. to get the size 12 to fit, i put another inner sole under the one that comes with the shoe, usually a spenco rx comfort insole, and sometimes wear a thicker sock along with getting the laces really tight. BTW these come with speed laces. i use these for training, i race in zoots.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Best.Shoes.Ever.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from SoCal on Wednesday, February 18, 2015I am normally a Womens 11, but must size up to Mens 10 in Hoka. Took a chance, after reading reviews, and got the Stinson Tarmac in a Mens 9. Great for everyday errands, chores etc. Would want a 10 for actual running. With Hoka---no pain after activities, especially noticeable at bed time. I have Bondi's for power walking---after getting past the "clown shoes" appearance---and they are THE BEST for tired, old bodies!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great deal!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Wisconsin on Tuesday, November 25, 2014These Hokas are surely different. It iss by far the best running shoes I have bought and I have tried all of the most well known brands. It is true to size, but with the bigger toe box it might feel lose if you are use to snug fitting shoes. They are a little heavier than shoes with minimal padding... but the soft ride is worth the little increase in weight. All though soft it does not allow sideways movement... making it a very stable ride, protecting your knees. For this price it is worth to experiment with.

5.0 out of 5 stars. really likeVerified Buyer Reviewed by bill from folsom, ca on Thursday, November 20, 201411 b foot on me, size 12 fit OK with a thicker sock than i usually wear and speed laces really tight. i like the fit of the 11.5 rapa nui 2 better (they are narrower) , but these have more cushioning than the rapa nui 2 and way more than the conquest. . i have started wearing these everywhere, only complaint is that they are a little warm in a 72 degree room.
FYI these have the most cushioning of any Hoka tarmac (pavement) shoe. the only Hoka with more cushioning is the mafate, which is a trail (dirt) shoe.
if you are a runner who is looking to try Hokas for first time, and you have normal to wide feet, i would go for these, cause you will not find them at this price anywhere else on the net. if you have narrow feet, you might consider the rapa nui's instead. a lot of people replace the speed laces with the (extra) normal laces that you will find in the box. there is also an extra insole, which i placed under insole that came with in the shoe which helped lower the volume of the shoe, to help the fit on my narrow foot. the toebox is reasonable on these, but not as big as the conquest toe box.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Highly RecommendReviewed by rustynails from Cleveland on Saturday, November 15, 2014Great fit, comes with 2 insoles & 2 sets laces, speed laces are great. Exceptional cushioning. Rotate these with my NB 2040 & Nike Air Max 97 PHY, these are becoming my favorite. Won't be disappointed!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Why is there not an option for a 6th star?!?!?!Reviewed by Anonymous from Cheyenne on Friday, November 7, 2014Phenomenal shoes!
I have extremely terrible legs from the knees down. Multiple knee and ankle injuries, plus a fallen arch and planter fasciitis. When I used to run with the most expensive of Nike running shoes, I'd still get shin splints, literally for days.
Just went for a 2 mile run in these and have absolutely no lower extremity pain (except the muscles I haven't worked in years!).
I only wish these were available when I was in the Marines!
