They are extremely comfortable and help keep your feet dry all day. I looked extremely well and finally found what I assume to be the "defect" causing these to be labeled seconds. There was a small green thread in a section that should only have been gray on one sock, in an inconspicuous location. I mean just a few millimeters small. I was a little disappointed because the word "irregular" was stamped on the side of both socks, much larger and way more prominent than the one small stitch out of place. But it is not noticeable with shoes on, and it is starting to come off after only one wash. I would gladly purchase these again and probably will.

They come just to the top of the boot with no folding or scrunching required. Also perfect thickness for hot summer hikes. Heading to Colorado soon. Anxious to see how they perform.

I wanted something a bit thicker than their super low cushion type and had a little higher reach up leg for cooler months. 100 X better than nike for lifts.
