2.0 out of 5 stars. not easy on or easy offVerified Buyer Reviewed by sam from Massachusetts on Thursday, February 19, 2015most 3in1 coats are actually zipped together...this one has only snaps at the sleeve and one at the collar... so U have to zip both coats as if U have on two separate ones... I bought this to replace another Columbia one piece long parka because it seemed like it was more versatile but U pay for the 3in1 by taking three times as long to put it on and off.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect OuterwearVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jo from Louisiana on Saturday, February 7, 2015I had been looking for something to keep me warm. I finally found it! It's hard shopping on line and finding the right fit, but after reading the reviews, I just had to give it a try. This does! I got the small and I am 5ft 5 and 125. It fits perfect AND keeps me warm. I like to wear xtra layers in the 30 degree weather. I had on t shirt, long sleeve dress shirt, and this coat fully dressed and still had room to breathe, meaning, I can still move in it. I am very pleased with the fit and the price was right. When I have only one blouse on and the jacket, I cinch up the waist, and it fits just right. I love it!!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Dream coat but not for a full busted personVerified Buyer Reviewed by Magothy from Maryland on Friday, February 6, 2015Several family members have the Columbia's slightly puffy coats with the heat reflecting lining. I loved the light weight and minimal puffiness as my figure has filled out since retiring and the fact that each said the coat provided plenty of warmth and was so light weight. Naturally, I wanted one for myself without getting the same one that the younger generation had. But I held my breath that I would be able to fit into the XL, my normal size and the same size of older Columbia coats I have, as I had noticed other people with similar coats were extremely form fitting in the bustline.
The coat arrived and I loved the dual coat - undercoat very light weight - and the outer layer that gave it more of a coat look rather than a jacket. It fit fine through the hips and waist, but the bust area and sleeves were just too restricting to keep. I'm quite disappointed that Columbia doesn't have this coat in a larger size - even at a higher price on other websites.
I would recommend that if you order this coat and are fuller through the chest to order the larger size if you don't like form fitting coats. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Super coat but....Verified Buyer Reviewed by Magothy from Maryland on Wednesday, February 4, 2015This is exactly the coat I need and want. The underlayer coat is thin and lightweight and great for keeping warm for running errands. The overcoat layer brings a little dressier look and is flattering for my size 18 grandma figure and provides added warm. The only drawback is that I am full through the chest and arms, and the underlayer just fits too snuggly to keep. The waist and hip areas fit fine. This price can't be beat. I only hope Columbia would make the coat broader in the chest area.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Like wearing a sleeping bagVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rose from Philadelphia on Wednesday, February 4, 2015This coat is very warm when all pieces are worn at the same time, and the outer jacket is definitely water resistant. I've been volunteering to run errands in the cold because I stay so warm and it makes me feel invincible. I haven't worn just the liner yet, but the outer jacket is great for when it's warmer and wet - much better than a rubber rain coat. My only complaint is that the two layers don't connect very well. There's a snap at the neck and a snap at each wrist, and I would've liked to see connections somewhere on the body of the jacket so they don't slip around each other. While you can get away with only zipping the outer jacket, when it's very cold/windy, you really have to zip both layers and it's less convenient than it could be.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Will be warm, versatile & cuteVerified Buyer Reviewed by WI winter trekker from WI on Saturday, January 31, 2015Nice design (except for the inconvenience of needing to first zip up the liner & then zip outer jacket). Interesting inner cuff design that looks like it will provide extra draft protection for wrists and arms. Nice length, good amount of room in shoulders & arms with room to layer but still looks trim. I chose a size L- usually wear M, size 10. Exterior pockets are large, warm & zip shut. Also has 2 small upper pockets on front. Nice to have something different from the many puffy, black 3/4 length jackets.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not a winter coatReviewed by Westside Amy from Baltimore, MD on Monday, January 26, 2015I have read reviews about this coat, most of them great. That's why I bought it.
This coat is pretty and has plenty of pockets but IS NOT A WINTER COAT! I live in Baltimore, MD the winters are regularly mild; 30s down to the teens. I catch public transportation, so a warm coat is essential. Again not the coat for standing on the bus stop on a chilly 30 degree morning; very little wind. Warm boots, warm hat, warm scarf. I could feel the coolness of the air through this jacket. I don't know how some buyers could write how they survived NY or WI winters.
I bought an XL (16-18). It was snug. Yes, I am a bit chunky, but most size 16s fit. The arm were a bit snug in the elbow, shoulders, and back.
This coat would make a great spring/fall coat, but do not expect it to keep you warm on the bus stop at 30 degrees.
Hope this helps.
