5.0 out of 5 stars. Very Nice!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Grand Junction, Colorado on Tuesday, February 9, 2016This is a very nice jacket, I am very happy. I have not tried it in rain, but it came out of the washer holding puddles of water on it, so I am not worried. The fit of the extra large is relaxed and comfortable on my 6'1", 220 pound frame. Not too snug, not too loose, and plenty of comfort when I roll my shoulders, and a good length to it. I wore it over a hoodie and it was plenty comfortable. The orange is actually quite nice, like my monitor shows. Not a glaring, safety orange at all. It also was warm at under ten degrees out. The hook and loop adjusters at the wrists work easy with gloves on and the hook and loop closures at the main zipper going up the chest are small and spaced out enough that they stay out of the way (mostly) when I zip up. The hood zips on and off easily but the hood ends slide into little pockets in the collar that have hook and loop fasteners inside to keep them in place. A little awkward getting them lined up but not too bad. I LOVE this jacket!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great for ski, but for daily use?Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Lviv, Ukraine on Thursday, December 10, 2015Great quality jacket! The fabric seems to be very durable, jacket is well designed and functional, pockets are at all right places. I'm 6 feet and 175 pounds and M fits just perfect. Should be great for skiing but I have a doubt it will be warm enough as its insulation is very light. Hope this reflective omni heat thing is a breakthrough, otherwise jacket will not keep you warm unless you move actively.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great fit - waiting for winterReviewed by MrBascombe from Roselle, IL on Monday, November 9, 2015Purchased this coat for the upcoming Chicago winter - that's why only four stars so far - it seems like a great coat but can't say for sure until it's actually been used and I know how warm it is. As for fit, I am 6'0 and around 200 lbs. and this coat fits great. I have long arms (my wife calls them ape arms) and typically have to buy tall sizes in shirts and coats but this one fit perfectly. Material and workmanship seem excellent. Pockets and zippers are great. With STP sale price it was less then half the price currently showing on Amazon or Columbia websites.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great functional coatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from WV/PA/MD/VA on Wednesday, February 25, 2015This is a very functional jacket for snow sports. It has all of the "Bells & Whistles" required in a ski jacket. There is a net pocket inside for stowing and warming gloves. The interior chest pocket accommodates electronics with an ear bud hole. There are interior snow cuffs in the sleeves and waist for deep snow. The hood discreetly detaches and can stow in that mesh interior pocket. Add to this a layer of insulation and Omni-Heat and you are good to go. It is also water proof. I especially wear it on the cold windy ski days. The interior and cuffs are a light grey color. The orange is vibrant and the shell has a slight texture to it.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Columbia Sportswear Alpine Action Omni-Heat® Jacket - Waterproof, Insulated (For Men)Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Wisconsin on Tuesday, February 17, 2015Well designed and constructed. The insulation ranking of CLO3 (light polar equipment) is appropriate. Definitely not CLO4. When the actual temperature or windchill is appreciably less than minus 10 degrees F, I need a polartec hoodie under the jacket. Fortunately the lining is very smooth and can accommodate a heavy undergarment.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Glad I did!Reviewed by Anonymous from WV/PA/MD/VA on Friday, February 13, 2015This is a great ski or outdoors jacket. It is a heavy duty fabric and should wear well. There are some unique storage pockets inside for electronics device with wire openings for headsets. There is a large interior storage mesh pocket that can hold gloves or such items. The cuffs at the sleeves and waste will keep snow out when the coat is closed. The hood detaches but is sturdy in its attachments. Sizing is proper for me at a 40R in the Medium I bought. It is both water and wind proof. This is a thoughtfully designed and well constructed garment for mountain and field wear. It just looks good for about and casual use. The Orange is vibrant and you will be seen.
