Columbia Sportswear Rugged Path II Omni-Heat® Jacket - Waterproof, Insulated (For Men)

As with most Columbia jackets the quality is very high. I ordered this to replace a 3-in-1 columbia interchange that I had for 7 years that was starting to show some wear. Since I never really took advantage of the interchange I decided I would just rather have a dedicated cold weather jacket. Other user reviews were helpful in decision to purchase this jacket. The styling is very nice and met my wife's seal of approval. I also like that there is no velcro on the jacket and instead uses metal snap fasteners. Velcro would always snag on items I didnt' want it too (ie: knit caps, gloves, etc.) The fit was very good for me too. I am an XL on most days but sizing can be tricky for cold weather jackets, since I am typically wearing bulkier/layered clothing under them. This fit my 6'4", 230lb wide shouldered frame very well without sacrificing length in the torso and arms.

Unfortunately I ordered it after Michigan's 2014-2015 winter season and wont be able to give it a rigorous field test until next year. Although I am very optimistic that this jacket will perform well. And the price was simply too good to pass up. Amazing deal on a high quality produce from Sierra Trading Post. I'll be shopping here again!

Very happy with this purchase. Incredibly comfortable and nice looking winter jacket, and actually looks much better in person compared to the photos I've seen online (exterior is slightly darker with a very nice rugged material with woven pattern.. probably one of the nicest looking Columbia jackets I've ever seen). Have been wearing it for the past two weeks in temps ranging from 40C down to sub-zero with nothing but a t-shirt underneath and the reflective Omni-Heat has kept me warm when outdoors, yet still comfortable when indoors. Haven't been able to test it out against any heavy downpours, but it does a great job keeping out frigid winter winds. Jacket runs slightly large, but is lightweight and not overly bulky, and leaves room for some layering if needed. Would definitely purchase again.

I ordered this coat for my husband and he is very pleased with both the look and quality. It seems as if we are going through another ice age here in New England, and this coat has kept him completely dry and warm as he shovels, plows and rakes the roof. The Omni-Heat lining reflects his body heat without causing him to sweat, and yet is not overly bulky. The color and fabric are slightly more professional-looking for commuting to and from work on the train. I anticipate this coat will last for many years.

This jacket is well worth the money I paid for it. Warm and comfortable. It does seem to run a little larger than other jackets I have purchased from other manufacturers but not so much that I would not recommend it. Warn and waterproof, it is a great jacket for the winter months and since it does run large you can put on lots of layers underneath it.
