5.0 out of 5 stars. I got it in Grey (so I don't look like the Gordon Fisherman)Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Cold Snowy Part of Indiana on Monday, June 22, 2015Very nice Coat, Columbia really is able to make a coat warm without making it bulky. The Omni Heat technology isn't a gimmick, it actually works. Very nice coat, seems well made. I bought mine in June to take advantage of the sale, and won't probably wear it until November (or October considering how the weather has been lately) Nice coat, recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Better than expectedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Buffalo, NY on Tuesday, March 3, 2015This jacket was a great purchase. I got in the hopes of having a light weight, yet still warm, replacement to my previous winter jacket and the Cubist IV did not let me down. The Omni-Heat technology really works and adds a neat looking feature to the inside of your jacket. The winds have been brutal this winter in Buffalo, NY, so I would still get a chill through the coat at -15, but this isn't normal weather and not a defect in the jacket itself. Another layer underneath took care of this issue. The red accent zippers really look great in person, as does the grey color. The color in real life is slightly lighter than pictured on the site, but this was not a problem for my taste. There is a rubber strip along the bottom of the inside mesh section of the jacket, which I did not realize was there before purchase. When zipped up, this strip helps keep the jacket from riding up your back when sitting or moving, which is helpful, but also ads a little tension around the hips, which could be a little annoying at first, but simply takes some getting used to. All in all, for the price and the features, this jacket is something you should not pass up, and makes a great light winter jacket for anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good features at this price pointVerified Buyer Reviewed by Seth from Boston on Tuesday, February 17, 2015With a powder skirt, integrated cuffs, well placed pockets and just a bit of insulation, the jacket really delivers for this price. Works on cold days by itself, on really cold days has the right amount of room for a fleece underneath without having to go up a size.
The only issue I have is no pit-zips (and the fact the orange I bought looks like a traffic cone, but at least no one will fail to see me whilst I'm wearing it). -

4.0 out of 5 stars. A Really Good ValueVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from Vail, Colorado on Saturday, February 14, 2015This jacket works well for me skiing, and I ski about 100 days a year at Vail. It is equal in quality to other jackets of more prestigious brands sold at Sierra Trading Post that cost twice the price. The nylon material on the outer shell is an improvement over the more typical polyester shell. This jacket totally stops the wind, making it warmer than ski jackets that do not have a waterproof/breathable membrane. However, you give up some breathe-ability for total waterproofing in any garment.
It is warm for it's weight and thickness. The zippers are easy to work. The collar could be higher and larger diameter; it is too small to tuck my chin inside and too low anyway. Wearing a neck gaiter is required while skiing for me. The only other thing lacking in this jacket are armpit zips. The too small and low collar and lack of armpit zips are the reasons I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.
Sizing: I am 6 feet tall and 155 lbs with broad shoulders. The medium fits me well with room for a thin vest inside, but I would not want it any smaller. It fits just a bit more snugly than some other medium size jackets I have that are made by Descente. This closer fit makes the jacket warmer. A size large would be too baggy for me. The sleeves are just barely long enough. I like the soft nylon wrist gaiters. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Columbia Sportswear Cubist IV JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Akis from Croton on Hudson on Tuesday, February 3, 2015Great fit for my 6'1" height & long arms. Quality constructed lightweight jacket that should last many years. I especially like the 3 extra chest & sleeve pockets. Keeps you warm in frigid temps. Roomy fit underneath with some space for extra layers.
