2.0 out of 5 stars. Ok if you are driving to the trail in your own car. M, 5'10, 200lbs

This bag seems to be pretty sturdy and have lots of access points, probably too many. The side storage compartments are not completly closed to the main compartment so there is not much in the way of keeping something from sliding to an unintended place. My biggest complaint is the hip belt. it seems flimsy and inflexible. If you are doing any sort of backpacking where busses or planes are involved the hip strap will likely get broken as it can not reverse and wrap around the bag. Instead it sticks in the opposite direction asking to be snapped off by baggage handlers. So if you are keeping this bag in your control the whole time, have stuff sacks for everything you own, are going on an extended trek, and dont mind a heavy pack this is the one for you. As for fit I am 5'10 200lbs with a muscular frame and the large fits quite well.

About Gregory

After designing his first backpack as a Boy Scout at the age of 14, Wayne Gregory dedicated his career to making outstanding gear, a mission that eventually led him to create Gregory Mountain Products in 1977. From the beginning, Gregory backpacks have been engineered using a combination of field research and customer feedback in order to enhance durability, fit and function. The brand has pioneered many industry firsts, such as multiple pack sizes with different frame, harness and waist belt dimensions. They also developed the first waist belt system that offered a variety of hip angles. Not surprisingly, Gregory backpacks have been praised in a wide range of publications, from Backpacker magazine to National Geographic Adventure.
