I have a 38" waist and the xl were tight. I had to exchange them for 2X and the new ones fit great. The only issue is I had to pay a restocking fee.

When I realized how much I could save, I bought these pants as soon as I got home. However, imagine my surprise when after receiving the pants I tried them on only to find them at least 3 sizes too small. I took a close look at the pants and were extremely depressed when I realized how so very well these pants were made with top notch materials, but could not wear them and another size close to mine was not available. These would have been a great buy if they fit!! Will have to return them to STP, and either pay an outrageous price or go without.
