They are stable even with the splayed out rear nubs......... I was a little concerned the splayed nubs could lead to rolling an ankle but it doesn't seem to be an issue

They are very comfortable, and still look great after several months of abuse. They have barely shown any signs of wear, which is unusual for shoes worn by my son. I just purchased a second pair for him, in case the first pair ever does wear out.
