4.0 out of 5 stars. Womanly figures, but not too womanly, needed for theseReviewed by Southwestern Comfort from Northern Arizona on Saturday, April 4, 2015Sizes obviously vary between brands and, at a fit 5' 5 1/2" and 105 lbs., I typically like wearing a 0 or 2 for a comfy feel. However, after considering Royal Robbins' size charts, all the gear I pack in my pockets on hikes and my admittedly boyish figure, a 4 made more sense. I was wrong. They're not too huge in the waist, but so much extra fabric sticks out at the hips they look like riding pants and the backside resembles bike shorts with ample padding removed. They'd probably work well for those with more rounded figures. But if your thighs rub against one another, I'm guessing this material would make an annoying noise with each step. I think I'm going to give a size 2 a chance because the length is good and I like the overall design, all those roomy pockets, the technical fabric and that built-in sunscreen. Some might not care for the side zip, though, which does not hook first and then zip, leaving the possibility for zipping up your skin at the top if the pants aren't roomy enough and/or you're in a big hurry.
