The medium fit allows lots of room but still looks stylish and not like a giant bag! They became an instant favorite.

These are my new favorite loungeabouts & soccer mom pants. I love the cuff at the bottom that keep the pants up & away from the wet ground. I hate the feeling of a wet hem flapping against my ankles! They are a nice medium weight fabric with pockets (yes!) and a nice low rise waistband. As thrilled as I can be with a pair of sweats! I may order a few more pairs to hoard for when these wear out!

I removed mine with no problem. I have a waist of about 29 inches and the small fit well. I would not want them any smaller. My hips are about 34 inches so these are plenty roomy for me. The thing that surprised me were the legs and ankles. They kind of balloon out near the ankle, not a lot but some. The cuffs are pretty loose but I have skinny ankles. Love the pockets and the material. I don't think these would feel comfy if you were to try to wear knee boots over them. Probably too much bulk. Hope this helps.

They wash well and are as flattering as sweats can be--not too bulky, but not clingy so they conceal a few figure flaws. I tried the M and the L; at 5'4" and with a few more extra pounds that I'd care to admit, the M was perfect, but I'd have made the L work if the mediums weren't available. The elastic at the ankles gives you lots of leeway on the size since you don't have to bother about adjusting the hem.
