It will probably take getting used to being so covered...especially nose/mouth. But I spend a lot of time fishing and need the sun protection. It's very light and soft and even if I only wear it around my neck, it still gives a decent amount of coverage.

This is a great fitting gaiter with the holes for breathing. I love my bamboo gaiter but it fogs my glasses up. The holes in this one really help with this problem. I did buy the blue one and love it.

It was fairly uncomfortable to wear since it fit over my entire head. Yes, great protection however.....
This buff is better looking, fully functional and much more comfortable. I am sure it will do a great job when I go to Andros in a few weeks this spring. Too bad they only have the bright red now (last I looked). I sure like my blue one. Watch for more and grab one if you get the chance. -

I love to fish, and most years I head down to a warm clime to seek bonefish. I have reddish hair and fair skin...so I have to be very careful about the sun, and I've used virtually every such aid as this over the years. None is perfect, though this one seems pretty close (recognizing I've only tried it on, haven't yet used it in the field). I particularly like the relatively large size. You can use it just to cover your neck, or draw it over your chin and nose, or pull it up over your entire head. Other products pretend to do the same thing, but often become uncomfortable when you try. This one is large and stretchy, and even when pulled over my whole head seems to have plenty of give. The material seems quite porous to the breath, adding to flexibility.
