5.0 out of 5 stars. Well-fitting and waterproof

I haven't had the chance to wear this jacket in a heavy downpour yet, but it's performed well in drizzles. It fits very well- true to size for me, I wear a medium in just about everything, no exceptions here. It's also cut to be flattering- I can wear it to town and not feel like I'm wearing a poncho or garbage bag, which is what most of my other raincoats feel like. It's made out of good material, and no sticky zippers to speak of. I'd recommend this to anyone!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great price!

The color is true to image and size, I purchases the bright rose. This jacket is comfortable and stylish. It's a good day when your teenage daughhter thinks moms clothes are "cool" enough to wear. :) My only challenge with this coat is the zipper. It does not zip a smoothly as my last.

This jacket is amazing for the price! I will be taking it to Ireland this summer. Got it one size larger for room to layer. It was perfect.. Don't pass up this deal!

i ordered the red hibiscus in small. Like the other reviewer said, it's not really red, more like a tropical hot pink. I'm 5'6" and about 115 pounds; the small fits great with plenty of room. It's been raining all week, so I've gotten quite a bit of use out of it and it keeps you nice and dry but doesn't make you sweat. I've received tons of compliments on the jacket too!
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Whoa....that's pink not red! Otherwise, very nice jacket

Warning to anyone wanting a red jacket - "red hibiscus" should be called "coral red" or "coral pink." That's more on Mountain Hardwear than Sierra Trading Post. They should have picked a better name for the color. "Red hibiscus" is the color of my favorite lipstick, not really a color I'd normally wear as outdoor clothing. (Why can't these companies just make women's jackets in nice, earthy colors like green, rust, or brown?) But...I got it with a flyer deal for $40, the price has since gone back up, and exchanging it would cost an extra $6, so I'll keep it. (Also, I'm a little scared to see what color Atlantis is in real life.) I'm 190 lbs and the XL fits nicely with room for a fleece or down jacket underneeth. The pockets are big and can fit your hat, gloves, iPhone, small notebook, etc. It'll be nice for biking, jogging, or hiking during hunting season - EVERYONE WILL SEE ME in this bright coral pink jacket!

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
