5.0 out of 5 stars. Satisfying!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from PEK on Saturday, March 21, 2015The second Mountain hardwear down coat, and both are satisfying. The jacket is warm enough and I wear it with a T-shirt. I am 6'1" and 150 and size L fits well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. ExcellentVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ned from Atlanta on Tuesday, February 10, 2015High quality cold weather parka, good for sub-freezing temps. Somewhat heavy and bulky, (older tech.) but appears very durable and should hold up against serious wear and tear. Great value at STP price point. Fits true to size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very Warm CoatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Adirondacks NY on Thursday, February 5, 2015I wanted a coat for near zero days in the Adirondacks when I'm out walking. This coat does the trick as it is very warm. The hood is a bit annoying as it is puffy and doesn't lay flat when not in use. Other than that I love the coat as it is very warm and does a very good job keeping the wind out. I don't mountain climb or any of that stuff so I cant speak to its toughness.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm and light parkaVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dan on the bike from Clive, IA on Tuesday, February 3, 2015This is my first Mountain Hardware jacket, and I am satisfied. The jacket is cut well so I can wear it with a fleece. I am 5'8" and 150 and it fits me. The zipper is easy to work, the fabric is soft and not too noisy, and the jacket is so much warmer than what it replaced.
So far, I am very happy. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great, warm jacket with nice featuresReviewed by Snagle from Kentucky on Saturday, January 24, 2015Mountain Hardware makes nice gear and this coat is no exception. It is very warm and has well-placed, fleece-lined pockets. The material on the shoulders and around the bottom is abrasion resistant, but not overly stiff or heavy. The fleece-lined collar provides decent wind protection, but the hood may be closed if the wind is fierce. As expected given its mission, the jacket is a bit bulky, but still fairly light and very comfortable. You can move easily in this coat.
I know it is classified as a parka, but it really is more of a coat. It extends past the waist, but I do not consider it long enough to be a true parka. The cinch cord to keep wind from blowing up the coat is at the bottom where as most parkas have another at waist level. Still, the coat extends over most of the rear when standing.
I am 6' and 150 pounds. The medium size fits well, with room to layer beneath it, yet it is not too large. The sleeves are barely long enough for my long skinny frame, but they ARE long enough. That is often difficult to find without having a tall version of a coat.
I am quite pleased with the coat and the price.
