5.0 out of 5 stars. best ive ever had!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from colorado on Friday, May 29, 2015to start, I have always been a big merrell fan after my many back surgeries due to them supposedly being the lightest sho on the market? I wore merrells for over ten yrs faithfully. after seeing many styles and colors in womens merrells and not being able to get but two or three in mens I was upset. so I decided to try something else for a change.i ran across the Patagonia ac drifters and thought id try them, wow am I glad I did!they feel lighter than merrells and they have the same ankle support if not more comfortable.they breath a lot better than merrells and have the same material sole and bonded sole. they are more comfortable to wear for long periods and I love em. I hope they are still available when I need new shoes next time?it would be really bad if they aren't.overall a very nice comfortable all day every day work shoe, fun shoe. great shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. AWESOME BOOT!!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Andre from New Mexico on Saturday, May 23, 2015Well these shoes are by FAR the best pair I've purchased since I started shopping for mid hiking boots!!
I've worn all the top shoes and these I can't say enough about! I'm on my feet 16-18 hrs a day and the comfort
and feel these shoes have is top notch! I will be purchasing another pair soon!! -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Inconsistent sizing.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from NY on Saturday, May 9, 2015Originally had ordered an 11.5 and they were too big, likely a 12. I have an 11.5 drifter low and an 11.5 Nomad boot both have identicle sole shape & tread pattern ect... I also had two pairs of 11.5 Vagabond boot again same sole & tread pattern. I figured maybe these ran a half size large so I ordered an 11, but when they arrived they were too small, likely a true 11. Too bad, I'm done trying now, will be sending these boots back shortly. I've bought every pair of shoes for the last 8 years online and know my size within various brands I wear. I rarely need to send a pair of shoes back due to fit or sizing and never twice like this.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Comfort out of the boxVerified Buyer Reviewed by Johnny the Hiker from Minnesota on Wednesday, May 6, 2015I am going on a trip and didn't have the time to break in a new pair of boots...don't need to with these. They have to be the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever tried on. That being said, they are made of lower quality materials and workmanship(lots of loose threads and sloppy sewing...so they won't last long, but you'll be comfortable while they do.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Good, but insole slipped and crumpledReviewed by West Coast Skier from San Francisco Bay Area on Wednesday, April 22, 2015Took these comfortable boots on a strenuous day hike, and the insole completely crumpled. Will either try to return to Patagonia or try new insoles. Thought they were comfortable otherwise, and didn't seem too hot on a cool day with wool blend socks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome boots!Reviewed by Anonymous from Arrowhead on Saturday, March 28, 2015I bought and returned several boots from STP, always an easy process. These boots won me over. One person wrote they were too hot...well they're water proof. If air can get in, so can water. These are definitely dry. I don't hike trails, so support and agility are key to me and these boots make me confident of my footing. I'm ordering a second pair.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable, well built, lacking support for a mid-cut bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Seth from PA on Friday, March 27, 2015I was a little surprised that these boots did not seem to provide as much ankle support as I would expect of a mid height hiking boot. It just seemed that the ankle portion of the boot was too large in diameter and not anatomically conforming, thus not providing any more support than a lower cut shoe.
Otherwise they fit well and seem well built. I did not use any further than trying them on inside, so I cannot comment on the waterproofing or actual hiking performance.
I would consider the low cut version, as they do seem to be quality footwear. -
2.0 out of 5 stars. losing their wayReviewed by NH hiker from NH on Friday, March 20, 2015Love Patagonia products, live in them outdoors, but they missed the boat on this one. These boots fit well, were comfortable and seemed well built and rugged. But after 10 minutes of trying them on, my feet were HOT. I tried this a few times, then went back to the description and I realized that, though waterproof, they're NOT BREATHABLE. So you're effectively putting your feet into a pair of padded plastic bags. I sent them back.
That's a big design mistake, and it shows me that Patagonia, which used to pride itself on field testing, is losing its way. That's a shame.
