Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. comfortable, good fit

I am 5'81/2", 130 lbs., skinny and straight, with long legs. ( Mens' classic 30/32 jeans would fit me fine in the legs but would too big in the waist.) I bought chockstone in size 6, with 32" inseam. They are close to a perfect fit with just a tiny bit extra room visible in the lower hips- most women are curvier than me. These are very stretchy, comfortable, midweight pants.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Quite long, but overall great
Reviewed by Anonymous from Raleigh on Thursday, March 10, 2016
Ordered these pants in a size 8 since hiking pants seem to fit a little smaller sometimes. I typically wear a size 6. I'm 5'6, 138 lbs., 28 years old, so I'm happy with this more youthful, stylish cut that doesn't feel baggy or frumpy. The fit is great, though the length is quite long. They will be easy to get hemmed so it's not a big deal. I do wish they didn't sit quite as low on my hips and were more of a mid-rise, as that seems more practical for movement with hiking, etc. However, overall I like these pants a lot and am happy with the purchase. They will be great for hiking in spring/autumn/winter. They would probably be a little too warm to wear in +80 degree heat.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Odd Fit

Material seemed comfortable. Am a size 6 but these were slightly tight & fit oddly around my hips. And would have to be hemmed. No 8 available.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. A great present!

I got my girlfriend a pair because she was always stealing mine!!! These pants are like a second skin. They move every which way you do. The comfort is unbelievable, and I don't wear them just for hiking. The only thing keeping them from a 5 star review is that they are a bit big in the hips. Most of the woman reviewers felt this way, and I agree. However, if you can get past that, you will LOVE these. Mine have been to the Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, and soon will be off to Yosemite. Treat yourself.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. So Comfy!

I agree about the pants having a "baggier" look at the hips, but honestly, if you are looking for comfort when hiking or just working around the house, then these pants are for you. I purchased two pairs and took them to be altered (taken in at the waist), and now they look just fine. I wear them all the time. They totally move every direction I move. My Chockstones have been to the Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, and now are going to Yosemite this summer. If you are willing to put a bit more money into them, then they are well worth it. They will last for years to come. I am getting my girlfriend pair for Christmas since she is always trying to steal mine!!!

I am in love with these pants. They are super stretchy and light and very quick drying, they have become my go-to river pants. I will be ordering another pair!
