5.0 out of 5 stars. Great gym shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Easy peezy from Salem, OR on Thursday, May 28, 2015I read some criticism that these shoe were too light. Yes, if you are looking for a serious trail running shoe, but for the gym or casual wear they are perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great valueVerified Buyer Reviewed by trailrunner from Arizona on Tuesday, May 26, 2015These shoes are very light and very comfortable. They did not grip very well out of the box but the grip improved to acceptable levels within 5 miles of running. I run on a combination of rocks and decomposed granite with some water crossings. I only have one complaint and one concern with these shoes within the first 20 miles.
complaint: There is no tab on the tongue to put the laces through to keep the tongue centered. The first time I ran with them both tongues ended up on the outside of my feet. I ended up threading the top laces through the tongue pull tab to keep the tongue centered. While not ideal, it appears to work.
Concern: The shoes are very light for trail runners. I was worried that I would feel every rock through the sole but this turned out to not be an issue. However, I am still concerned about the longevity of the shoe given its light weight and the hard use that it will receive. I try to get 400 miles out of a pair of shoes. I got 373 out of my last pair of fairly sturdy Asics trail runners. I will try to remember to update my review with the information on longevity when I am retiring this pair -

4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight trail runnersVerified Buyer Reviewed by Fly fishing fool from Northern CA on Friday, April 24, 2015I'm not a racer, but have owned lightweight flats and that's what these feel like, although their soles have good traction and seem like capable trail runners. I run mostly asphalt, but stick to the dirt borders when I can. These are nice shoes with adequate cushioning, despite their very light weight. Made in USA, as well!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nate the Great from Maine on Monday, April 13, 2015I bought these shoes thinking I was getting a rugged, supportive trail running sneaker like I have had many times before from NB. These, however, are very light-weight shoes with minimal support. While they are very comfortable, I don't think they would hold up very well on the stump and rock littered trails of New England. As an everyday casual shoe, I think they will be fine. They fit as expected from NB, and because they are light, my feet haven't fatigued as they do with some heavier sneakers. Overall, these are comfortable, light and good looking, but don't expect a traditional trail running shoe. Plus, the price on STP can't be beat. Very much worth the purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice and lightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from SE Michigan on Tuesday, February 3, 2015The shoe seems to be very good. Light on the feet and wearable right away. Sizing is 1/2 small, which it states to buy 1/2 size larger and I did and they fit.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good overall shoe made in the USAVerified Buyer Reviewed by Vegas backpacker from Las Vegas on Thursday, January 8, 2015Great quality shoe with wide toe box that is typical of New Balance. They are also made in the US. The padding in the shoe is leans more towards a minimalist type and that is why I gave it a 4 star. Otherwise a great shoe.
