1.0 out of 5 stars. Not waterproofReviewed by Anonymous from rain forest on Saturday, October 24, 2015Update to original review back in early spring: After 8 months of relatively light use, the boots leak like a sieve. That makes them nearly useless here in the rainy Pacific Northwest.
Otherwise they're decent boots. But why can't manufacturers produce a "waterproof" boot that is actually waterproof for longer than a few months? Why don't their products live up to the advertising claims?
Anyway, I'll just add these to my pile of boots that claim to be waterproof but aren't. Maybe use them for garden ornaments.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by John from Kentucky on Thursday, August 13, 2015I am giving this 5 stars at this point because they are comfortable and seem to be well made. I wear them on the farm daily and they are keeping my feet dry at this point with good traction, support and comfort. My previous pair of Tevas separated between the sole and the upper and these look to be constructed the same way so I'm concerned that these will also fail. Sp far, so good.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great bootReviewed by Rob from MD on Monday, August 3, 2015I'm a bit smaller than 12.5, bought a 13, fits perfect. Great arch support, roomy toe box, heel locks in. Looks clunky, but doesn't wear clunky. I bought the "Pine" color (with the green fabric panels), but the color of the leather was quite different. I was expecting a tan/khaki sort of color, but it's really more of a chalky slate/dark grey.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Super comfortable non-technical bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by TXskier from Houston, TX on Friday, July 31, 2015I bought these after getting the Kimtah mesh low hiking shoes, which are the most comfortable hikers I have ever worn. They are not technical shoes, mind you; that is to say, the fit is not athletic and close to your foot, and there's plenty of room in the shoe for your foot to move around. I sent these back because I wasn't crazy about the color or the look. To me, they are pretty clunky looking on the foot. Still, that's just a matter of taste. If they are like the other Kimtahs I have, they are very well made and super comfortable right out of the box. Should be a great non-technical, all purpose waterproof hiker for those who like the look.

4.0 out of 5 stars. husband likedVerified Buyer Reviewed by coffeelvr from va on Wednesday, July 29, 2015My husband works outside and walks for miles and miles. He liked the Tevas the best but said the soles didn't quite have enough support that you can still feel the rocky terrain underfoot. That's why it gets 4 stars not 5. Keens are his all time favorite.

4.0 out of 5 stars. great!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Makaya Fox from OREGON on Monday, July 27, 2015fit me as expected. they are just as good as any boot on the market including the merrell moab's or the columbia redmond's. I got them on sale and I feel like I just got the best boots I have ever had. A little hot so don't expect to hike around in these boots in the summer everyday and love it. Perfect for day hikes and they look good for just kickin it around town.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent value and comfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by mikehd from Oregon on Monday, July 20, 2015I've put about 12 hours into these boots and they have been comfortable from the start. Used for day hikes only. The soles are grippy but obviously lack the stiffness of a backpacking boot. I would suspect too much time on sharp rocks would not be a good idea for these boots.
The tongue/bellows fits well, no bunching or pinch points. The toe box is wide and comfortable. I don't have wide feet so your experience may be different. The heel cup fits well. No hot spots or binding encountered in my day hikes.
The size I bought (9.5) run true to size as well. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great BootsReviewed by Doc the Hiker from NC on Friday, June 5, 2015I usually wear a 10 but 10.5 fit better in these boots. Asolo tend to be a bit narrow for me. I did several light hikes, then took on a trip in the Grand Canyon. Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point and back. 12.2 miles. Feet felt great. No blisters, sore toes, etc. I will buy a second pair to keep in the closet for when these wear out. They are also waterproof, did a hike in Sequoia National Park before the canyon hike in deep wet grass and rain and was completely dry.
