4.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacket

This is a really well made, quality jacket with a great price. The only concern is that the sleeves are very long - not sure if they are supposed to be in this style jacket. You can use the velcro on wrists to secure them higher. This was the medium - my husband is 5'8", 155lbs but athletic build - we have ordered the small to compare.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Seems nice

Ive yet to try it out on the mountain but it seems very nice. I am sized right between large and extra large on most snowboard gear. I went with xtra large because it was the only one available, i was hoping it wouldnt be to big. Its not, its perfect, a bit of room for some layering but that well fit feel, not the super baggy feel. The colors are slightly more subdued than the image shows, which i am pleased with. Seems quality, but like i said, ive yet to put it through the ringer.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Snowboarding Jacket

I ordered the bright blue color. It is more of a neon light-blue than the picture appears to me on the website, but I like it. A little different, and highly visible. This jacket runs large, or roomy, in my opinion. I'm 5'11" and 150 lbs, thin with long arms, and normally wear a medium or large, depending on the brand and product. I ordered this jacket a size up in Large, to give me room for mobility and layering, but it was huge! I was literally swimming in it. I sent it back for a Medium and it was the size I was after. Still a little baggy for freedom of movement, plenty of length in the arms, and plenty of room for layering. It seems insulated enough to throw over a base layer or t-shirt on warmer days, while letting you still layer up on really cold days. This jacket has a good set of features and looks good. However, my replacement medium had a defect with one of the hood adjustments, so I returned it for an exchange. I would have defiinitely stayed with this Kenton jacket, but STP got in a different Bonfire jacket in the meantime that I liked the look of, so I went with it instead.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Could be warmer
Reviewed by Andy the Jacket Junky from New York on Friday, February 6, 2015
I find it a little bit of a challenge to keep warm in this jacket. When the temps are in the 20’s and I have a sweatshirt underneath, I start to cool down rather quickly. Even if I am wearing a base layer and a good midweight fleece, I can still get chilled when the temperature drops into the single digits. One of the reasons for this could the fact that while the body of the jacket has 60 gram insulation, the sleeves only have 40 gram, which is pretty light for a winter jacket (anything less than 60 gram seems to be pushing it). Only putting 40 gram insulation in the sleeves doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense, as your arms don’t generate as much heat as your core does.
