5.0 out of 5 stars. Most Comfortable Shoes I've Ever HadReviewed by Cara from Washington on Thursday, May 3, 2018I was skeptical. I have plantar fasciitis that is dormant often, but has recently crept up on me requiring me to upgrade my entire shoe wardrobe. I do A LOT of hiking every summer and trying out the trail runners instead of boots this summer. As soon as I put these on they felt SO GOOD. I want to wear them everywhere. Even though I bought a half size too small (which was my size, but these run small) they felt amazing. I exchanged for a full size up from my normal size and they fit great. I tried them on immediately after a hike and they fit well with my feet swollen. When the swell went down they had decent room in the front but not too much. I hope they never stop making these shoes and never change them. I'm hooked. I'm also hooked on LaSportiva now for good.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Traction and support good for multiple terrainsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Barbara G. from Fort Collins, CO on Tuesday, March 27, 2018I love these shoes. They fit very well and give me a ton of support while walking through uneven surfaces in grasslands or up a rocky trail. The traction allows me to dig into rocks and zip up rocky mountains. Definitely would be buy these shoes again, but as others have commented, it runs small so buy a half a size up.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these shoes!Reviewed by powder queen from Colorado on Monday, March 26, 2018Absolutely love my new shoes! Very true to size. I have a little wider foot and these are perfect. Never felt like I needed any break in time. Just very comfortable from the beginning. What a great deal for these shoes! Have never purchased La Sportivas. I will add the to my go to shoe brands. Fun spring/summer color combo too!

5.0 out of 5 stars. My favorite athletic shoeReviewed by Gina from Tucson, AZ on Friday, March 2, 2018This will be my third pair of La Sportiva Ultra Raptors in 3 years because I love them so much! For me, they are true to size--I wear an 8.5 and they fit. I have fairly narrow feet, and have felt perfectly fine in these. They may have room for arch supports or orthotics if needed. They are incredibly sturdy and I have used to for hiking in snowy Flagstaff, to the dry desert of Tucson and everywhere in between. I have worn them for work (on my feet all day as a physical therapist), for Crossfit, and as regular day wear. I don't wear true hiking boots or shoes anymore because the Ultra Raptor is so versatile and much more comfortable. The only thing to have worn down on these is the soles.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very light running/hiking shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by PQHiker from San Diego on Sunday, February 25, 2018I am a loyal Ahnu customer but decided to give this a try since there are so many great reviews. I have used this pair running and brisk walking for 8 miles and I can say the support is pretty great. It is very light and love the feel of the sole. The only negative comment I have is the fit around the toes. It is a little bit snug compared to Ahnu. I bought 8.5 on this pair same as my Ahnus and I would rate Ahnu still the best pair of hiking and running shoes for me. Hope La Sportiva will look into this because I would not hesitate buying another pair in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lady Hiker from Vermont on Tuesday, June 6, 2017This is my second pair of Raptors--I'm replacing my first after two great years of hikes and runs. Light enough to feel comfortable on a trail run, but sturdy enough for a long, tough day (their maiden voyage was the Great Range in the Adirondacks).
The soles are durable, but they do wear down a bit more quickly than traditional hiking boots. That being said, they're by far the most comfortable boots I've owned, and their flexibility is great.
It was recommended to me that I buy a size up, and I would definitely buy big. (I wear a size 7.5 / 38.5M, and I bought a size 8.5 / 40.) Especially if you're using these for hiking, or running on trails with a lot of descending, you'll want some extra room in the toe box. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. great shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Wednesday, May 3, 2017True to size, ready to go out of the box, very grippy. Only complaint is if you fully submerge them they are slow to drain.

3.0 out of 5 stars. I wished i could have used themVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from S. California on Thursday, April 20, 2017I was very excited about this product. I usually order and have used the Wildcat line for years and love them. When i ordered these in the same size (37.5) they were too small. They have a much narrower toe box and I would have had no room for swelling on my runs. I looked for a larger size, but none were available. Loved the color and the shoe itself seemed to have all the aspects I love about La Sportiva... good toe protection, good sole grip and a sturdy, well made trail shoe.
