2.0 out of 5 stars. Good idea, poorly executedVerified Buyer Reviewed by JW-Architect from California on Monday, November 9, 2015I was excited to get these to use in a wood burning cookstove oven, where your arm needs a little protection sometimes. I found that the stitching is inconsistent, and the hole to put your hand in is sewn so small it is hard to get in there. The padding on the hand is good and it offers fine protection from heat. That being said, the shape between the hand and the thumb piece is not well defined so it is hard to get a good bend for grabbing pans.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Soft beautiful fabricVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from colorado springs on Tuesday, June 2, 2015I wanted to love these --
I love the fabric, they are soft and beautiful
I also purchased the square holders (which have a pocket mitt detail too)
If you are looking for a glove style mitt this could work great for you..
The square ones wash well (I just hang to dry) so these should act the same. -

2.0 out of 5 stars. Ultra thin, that I burned my hand. Very Disappointed.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from New York on Thursday, February 19, 2015Once I opened the box, I knew I messed up on picking this Oven Mitt. It was ultra thin and doesn't hold it's shape.
The only think part was the grey wool section where your hand folds. I tested this out by putting a clean baking tray in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes the I tried to use the mitt to take it out. My fingers were fine. I felt the heat but didn't immediate burn my hand until 3 mins holding onto it. However, the second time I tested it i burned the side of finger where is its only the thin red fabric immediate. The reason for this is because the Oven Mitt is very poorly made where the shape of the mitt doesn't stay in place and one slight wrong movement the NON WOOL area would be in direct heat with the HOT HOT pan, tray, pot, etc.
It cost me $5 to buy and $6.95 for the return shipping fee. You do the math. -
