5.0 out of 5 stars. If you love Dansko professional clogs, you'll love these!

I ordered these in an 8.5 M black, and am exchanging them for the 9 after a little debate. Basically, they are similar both in look (nubuck brushed leather) and fit (kind of narrow at the joint where your toes meet your foot) as a pair of size 39 Dansko professional clogs. They are slightly shorter; my longest toe touches the tip of the shoe, where that doesn't happen with Danskos. I sometimes get 39s in Danskos, and sometimes 40s, although I'm pretty consistently an 8.5 in American sized shoes. So if you are in between in European sizes like me, my advice is to go with the larger size.

The boot part is a nice calf fit, not tight on average calves, but not gaping. These truly are beautiful boots in look and feel. I could not compare the arch and all day comfort, since I'm exchanging them. But the initial try on made me find them comfy.

I ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly. They're a very comfortable everyday boot.

Nice quality and style. Decently warm for mild winters. I have not tested the waterproofing yet.
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. not that cute

These look adorable on the website, but in person they were just a bit clunky (and I like my Danskos, so clunky does not usually bother me). I wish they had been a bit taller in the sheath. Perhaps the brown color is a bit more polished, but the black pair just looked like ill-fitting rainboots. Returning them.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these boots

I love these boots for several reasons: 1. The clog style sole gives me height without discomfort (in fact they are very comfortable) 2. The leather is a great guality 3. Lighter weight than my other clogs 4. They're practical and can easily be dressed up (with a skirt) or down (with jeans or tights) 5. They are well made, sleek, and not bulky at all.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Not very pretty boots, and little support inside

I so wanted to like these! I have foot problems and have to wear clogs around the house all the time now. I'd hoped these would allow me to jump in the car and go, but even with inserts that provide arch support, they just aren't crazy-comfortable. And I'd expected the leather to be either fully distressed or fully NOT. One boot had a big scratch (but hey, Sierra's price was way better than elsewhere) and the rest of the boots are just not very exciting. I give them a "meh". 3 stars.
