4.0 out of 5 stars. Great work shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jen the PA from Texas on Monday, April 11, 2016I participate in surgeries that can last up to 6-8 hours and these shoes have made a huge difference in decreasing the amount of foot and hip pain that I usually experience after such long periods of standing. Now I want to get a second pair for running! So glad I found this shoe. Only negative is that without laces it is a little more work to wiggle my feet into the shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe for an injured footVerified Buyer Reviewed by Grammy the Outdoor Lover from NC on Monday, March 14, 2016I own an earlier version of this shoe and offered them to my daughter to try, as she has a painful and so far undiagnosed injury to the sole of one of her feet. My shoes helped, she is a size larger than I, so I ordered a pair for her. She will probably have to have an MRI to determine the cause of her pain, but in the meanwhile the Hoka One One Stinsons are keeping her pain free. (We originally tried the Hoka Constant, but it didn't seem to have as protective a sole, and the toe box was too large. I can only conclude that Hoka styes vary considerably.)

4.0 out of 5 stars. This shoe is greatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Wanda Fit In from California on Wednesday, November 4, 2015The quality is top-notch, sizing was accurate + true. The light weight is amazing. I jogged a little in my living room with them, and was pleasantly surprised that it seemed I could adapt to the rocker heel shape easily. The shoes feel quite stable. I ended up not keeping them because I have Achilles tendon problems, and I don't think the rocker at the heel is just what I need right now. It might be fine, but it would be a new variable. I already have a good cushioned shoe, and this didn't feel better or more like "walking on a cloud".

3.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable running shoe but not as durable as it's predecessorReviewed by Robin Davis from Virginia on Monday, August 10, 2015I LOVED the Stinson Tarmac and wore them for over 700 miles (I replaced the insoles after about 350) and they still look decent. My Stinson Lites have about half that amount of mileage now and have multiple holes in them. The "material" that the upper is made from is a type of plasti-coated mesh that has torn at every spot that my foot bends regularly which is disappointing as I really like running in them. I have doubts that these will hold up for the remainder of the year. I will buy Hoka's again but not the Stinson Lite.

5.0 out of 5 stars. My New Favorites!Verified Buyer Reviewed by WishIwasattheBeach! from Ohio on Friday, August 7, 2015I recently injured by foot and was unable to run without pain. My daughter told me about this brand shoes and thought I would give them a try. I am back to running 3 times a week pain free. Highly recommend these shoes, especially for someone who suffers from foot, knee or hip pain when running. I used to run in Brooks, but these are my new favorites.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Less than expectedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bostonian from Boston on Thursday, August 6, 2015Based on other reviews of the product I was expecting to feel like I was running on marshmallows. the sole, although light, felt stiff and not as cushioned as the outside of the sole would make you think would be. the shoe runs large and wide and the mesh fabric is at the same time too soft but too stiff. I would not purchase this model shoe again. I also have the New Balance Foam and that shoe is more what I was expecting in this running shoe.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Chubby Moon-Boot Sneakers Cushion the Blow(s)Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kerstin from Vermont on Tuesday, July 7, 2015After reading many reviews about how cushioned these sneakers are (can you not tell from the picture?), and of how they saved many a sore knee, I knew these were the ones for me, a fairly flat-footed, sometime runner with a history of plantar fasciitis and achy knees. Never mind that they look a bit dorky, like a sportier version of a nun's orthopedic shoe. I ordered my usual sneaker size, 8.5, and it was a good fit. They are certainly cushioned, and this alone makes me happy with them. I was experiencing pain even when I walked, and I'm too young for that. The lacing system does not start at the hole closest to your ankle (so why tease me by putting a hole there, and then not filling it with a lace?), which is a bummer for me, since I like my sneakers real tight in that area. I want my feet to be practically strangled by the laces. The top of the sneakers are indeed very breathable, like screen doors. You can see your feet right through them. As one other reviewer said, this makes running in the rain a soggy experience. I don't run often, but I've walked in wet grass, and my feet do get wet. I can overlook the loose-ish fit around the ankles, and the screen door effect, because for the first time in a few weeks, I feel confident going for a long walk or even a wog (walk/jog). I can't claim they've saved my joints, but they have certainly cushioned the blows hurled at them through the daily act of long, fast walking. For that I say "thank you, Hoka One One."

5.0 out of 5 stars. WOW! These are Great!Verified Buyer Reviewed by mtinnkeeper from Montana on Monday, June 29, 2015I'm NOT a runner, but must be on my feet, on the move, all day long. Have pain in knees, hips, and misshapen feet due to corrective foot surgery. I put the size 8.5 on as soon as they arrived and didn't take them off until bedtime. I mention the size 8.5 because I ordered both 8 and 8.5. In most shoes I wear an 8, but in this brand the 8.5 was perfect. Using the loop at the back of the shoe helps make it easy to put them on. They are NOT 'delicate' looking but that's irrelevant when the fit and feel is so wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Love Hoka One OneVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tri-Nurse from Black Hills, South Dakota on Saturday, April 11, 2015I have only ran in these once so far. I think the sizing is very true. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 in a running shoe. I purchased these in 8.5 and have plenty of room in the toe.
They are very light and comfortable
I will write an updated review after I use them for a while. I wanted to comment on sizing, which is always helpful.
I chose 4 stars only because I have not worn them long enough to rate their performance. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. CushyReviewed by Anonymous from Houston on Wednesday, April 8, 2015Nice shoes. Good cushion and support. Didn't like the speed lacing. Deduct one star because the shoes only came with one pair of insoles - the thin ones. I'm thinking whoever tried these shoes on and then returned them decided to keep the thicker pair of insoles for herself. Shame on you! Now I'm faced with paying the return post to exchange them or pay ten bucks to buy a replacement pair. STP needs to do a better job checking in returns.
