4.0 out of 5 stars. Not all the photos are accurate!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sandy from Austin, Texas on Thursday, March 19, 2015The images STP shows are for two different models: one has a padded hip belt and the other is a web belt. It's a nice pack and it will serve me well on short day hikes, but do note that the hip belt for this pack is a plastic webbing with NO pocket on the right side. This one has no pocket there, something I really wanted. Perhaps that's an image from another year model. On the positive side, the included rain cover is concealed in its own little pocket and that is well designed. Pack is pretty small...

5.0 out of 5 stars. An amazingly great backpackReviewed by Anonymous from Chicago on Wednesday, March 18, 2015This is an amazingly great backpack. At the discounted price it is almost unbelievable. General Comments: The photo and description of this product on the Sierra Trading Post website ARE ACCURATE. This is a Deuter ACT Trail 20 SL (NOT a Deuter ACT Trail 22 SL) backpack. The SL signifies “slim line” a Deuter line tailored to women’s smaller frames. The ACT Trail 20 SL is Deuter’s “last year’s” model. The Deuter ACT Trail 22SL is this year’s model. For day hiking, I like this “old” model (the ACT Trail 20 SL) much better than the “new” model (ACT Trail 22 SL). Features: For example, the ACT Trail 20 SL has a large outside expandable pocket; upper and lower overall compression straps; and hiking loops. None of these features are available on the newer ACT Trail 22. The ACT Trail 20 works with a 3 liter hydration system – the newer ACT Trail 22 specs say its maximum is a 2 liter system. Packing: I was concerned that the ACT Trail 22 would not fit into my carry on. Not to worry. The width of the ACT Trail 20 is only about 10” – that easily fits into my carry on. The length of the ACT Trail 20 fully stuffed is 22”. But the length of the “U-frame” appears to be approximately about 19”. The length just fits into my 19.5” long carry on. The depth is minimal – the ACT Trail 20 folds down even flatter than my old NorthFace Borealis. So there is plenty of room in my carry on for the other items I want to take when I travel. Capacity: My old NorthFace Borealis supposedly holds 25 liters. The ACT Trail 20 supposedly holds 20 liters. My tests show that the ACT Trail holds as much as the NorthFace. Durability: I just purchased the ACT Trail 20. Everything appears to be very durable. There is no material or design feature that looks weak or even questionable. Overall: If you are looking for a backpack that is comfortable, full-featured, durable, packable (as in pack it into a carry on) and that will work very well for day hiking (and probably many other activities), there is no need to look further. Especially at this price. By the way, the green is a nice “apple” green – not too bright or gaudy.
