I think it is more the size than the jacket. I own other Lowe alpine fleeced and the size 16 isn't as boxy. I am 5.10, 160. I ordered the 16 because sometimes there 14's are too tight, but I think I could have gone down a size. It is very comfortable and I like that it is slightly longer in the back.

I bought her a size 14 (UK) and she wears a US size 6/8 and it fit perfectly. She was very happy with it and it seems to be really good quality as well - what I expect from Lowe Alpine! Definitely a winner!

It should serve as a decent fleece jacketReviewed by Anonymous from Santa Fe on Wednesday, October 14, 2015I got the grey large and it's a nice fleece jacket but not as good quality as I expected from Lowe. My Columbia fleece finally bit the dust after 7 years of almost daily winter wear. This jacket is not so soft and is shorter in torso length so it doesn't fall on me (5ft 10in) as long as it shows on the model. There is little stretch aside from what one normally finds in fleece material. The zipper is not as hefty as my Columbia and I'll replace the zipper pull with something I can actually grab with my gloves on. It is shaped for big hips and thin shoulders. When will active clothing makers realize that climbing women have larger shoulders and muscled arms?! For me it is tight in the armpits and I had to snug the hem to fit my hips. The sleeves are nice and long and it is very warm. The grey will go with anything and not show dirt easily. So I'll keep it and hope it serves as well and as long as my Columbia did.

This jacket is very soft, and fits perfect. I usually wear a size 10, but I ordered this one in a 12 because of the european sizing.
I have ordered Lowe Alpine products before, and have always been very happy with their quality. -

It really is great -- while a generous fit, it is not boxy or bulky, and the cut and fabric are flattering. It is light enough to fit in my bag and seems like it will work well as either a layering piece or standalone jacket.
